Biography

Daniel has a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics and is a Market Research Analyst interested in the nexus of food, water, and energy. He is skilled in conducting market research and utilizing data-driven insights to solve problems in a wide range of applications and in a manner that improves lives and livelihoods.

As a Master of Global Affairs student specializing in Sustainable Development, he is a recipient of the Riberas Orjales Family Fellowship. He represented over 90 million Nigerian youths as the Nigerian Youth Delegate to the World Forum for Democracy 2019 in Strasbourg, France, where political decision-makers and activists debated solutions to critical challenges facing democracies worldwide. On his return, he was awarded a Sustainable Solutions Africa 30 Under 30 Fellow grant that allowed him to start Dcon International, an agribusiness that works to build resilient, climate-smart, and competitive food systems.

He is an alumnus of Sponsors for Educational Opportunities (SEO) Africa and was the President of the Agricultural Policy Makers Association at the Department of Agricultural Economics, the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria. More so, he was a volunteer ambassador at the Thought for Food Foundation, where he focused on delivering food education to increase sustainable and culturally appropriate food. In 2021, he was among the top 30 African changemakers to contribute to the Global Partnership for Africa's Development deliberations at LEAD Africa Academy. His goal is to bridge the gap between science, innovation, and public policy by enabling efficient strategic decision-making, leading transformational policymaking, and championing sustainable development in economically disadvantaged communities.
