From Whom the Bells Tolls mission has to be one of the most chore-heavy questlines as you complete one mundane task after another. Hauling the sack to the charcoal shed will be the first objective, and we're here to show you how to complete it in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

KCD2 Haul sacks to the charcoal shed quest guide

When it's time to haul the sacks to Trosky Castle, the guard will tell you to put them into a mysterious charcoal shed. Unfortunately, the game doesn't really tell you where this location is, so you may end up walking around aimlessly like I did. If you aren't sure where to go, pick up the sack and walk to the entrance to the wagon's right.

Travel up this hill until you reach the shed on the left side. Due to Henry's slow walking speed, it'll be slightly tedious to perform. I definitely know the struggle, and I almost fell asleep with the sluggish movements.

Once you've reached the shed, place the sack on the wooden board inside. You must deliver three sacks in total to complete this optional quest in From Whom the Bells Tolls. Even though it's considered optional, it's pretty crucial to do it for the main objective of saving Sir Hans. It'll unlock the blacksmith in Trosky Castle, paving the way for the rest of the mission. You'll have to complete many more chores after this, but luckily, there is a way to make the process go by faster. Read below to find out how.

How to save Sir Hans quickly in From Whom the Bells Tolls quest

You can complete the remainder of the From the Bells Tolls mission in a few different ways. I've seen some players use the route with the Chamberlain, but others (including myself) have trouble persuading him. The only one that worked for me was the pathway that Reddit user XxBluesShadowxX used, which seems to be the quickest method. Here are the steps you can take to complete the From the Bells Tolls quest quickly in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2:

  1. Speak to the blacksmith and tell him, "I'll help you with anything!"
  2. Go to the Smithy and interact with the chest to the right to get the resources for the horseshoe recipe
  3. Rob or interact with the red pot near there to get a free lockpick (you can talk to the Cook Fanka and the blacksmith if you don't want to get caught robbing)
  4. Craft the Farmer's horseshoe at the Smithy and talk to the blacksmith when you're done
  5. Give the horseshoe to Kabat
  6. Ask Kabat, "What did you do before?" then talk about acquiring a tool
  7. Instead of buying the lockpicks, ask if you can do something in exchange
  8. Accept to help him get the rosemary back from Father Nicodemus (you don't have to actually get the rosemary, but it's still crucial to accept it)
  9. Talk to Father Nicodemus to play dice for the rosemary (again, you don't need to play for it, but it's essential to know that he has the rosemary)
  10. Tell Jarek (the man kneeling next to the Smithy) that Father Nicodemus stole the rosemary and follow him to get to Thomas
  11. Go back downstairs and steal some food from the pantry on the way down
  12. Return to the Smithy and take right to go up the stairs
  13. Bribe the guard there with the food you've stolen
  14. Sneak up the stairs and go all the way to the top
  15. Talk to Katherine inside the room on the right and ask her for help (it's okay if you fail to persuade her)
  16. Wait for her to leave and grab the Physicians' Journal to learn how to make the Fever Tonic recipe
  17. Use the lockpick on the chest there to gather the ingrdients
  18. Make the Fever Tonic at the alchemy table (I will discuss this more below)
  19. Return to Thomas to give him the Fever tonic

Getting the lockpick from the red pot should be one of your first steps. Since you can get caught robbing it, I suggest talking to the Cook Fanka and then the blacksmith to get free access to it.

Free lockpick location in Trosky Castle
Screenshot by Destructoid

Save the lockpick for later, and then work your way to Jarek through Kabat's rosemary mini-quest. You can complete the sub-task of helping Cook Fanka and Kabat if you want, but remember that this quest has a time limit. The main focus here will be Jarek, who will be kneeling near the Smithy.

Jarek at Trosky Castle
Screenshot by Destructoid

Once you get Father Nicodemus to confess about the stolen rosemary, you can tell Jarek about it to get you to Thomas. Keep note of Thomas' location since you'll need to return here shortly. This part will let you roam this particular building without the guard's watchful eyes, but you'll need to do a bit of sneaking when stealing the food.

Use this food to trick a guard in the upstairs room near the Smithy. Take the stairs to find him.

Now, sneak up the stairs where the guard used to be and go up to the top. You'll eventually find a door there with Katherine inside. Ask her for help to get her out of the room. I failed to persuade her, but she didn't bother to tell any guards about Henry's whereabouts. Now, you can finally take the Physician's Journal from the bookcase and loot the chest for Thomas' Fever Tonic potion.

From Whom the Bells Fever Tonic recipe

If you aren't sure how to make the Fever Tonic recipe in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, follow these steps:

  1. Add three handfuls of Feverfew
  2. Put the cauldron down and boil the Feverfew for two turns (use the bellows to make it boil)
  3. Put the cauldron back up
  4. Grind one handful of Elderberry Leaves and place in the cauldron
  5. Add two handfuls of Ginger
  6. Distill the potion
  7. Use a phial to make the potion

Even if you happen to mess up a few times with the potion, the From the Bells Tolls quest doesn't penalize you for it. I made two mistakes of boiling it for too long and forgetting to distill, and it still worked. Then, you can finally give the potion to Thomas to trigger a cutscene, thus concluding this Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 quest. Once it's over, ensure to get one of the best horses from Hired Hand Kabat. The Lion's Crest is also near Trosky Castle if you want a new gear set.

New study shows 30% of Minecraft players still have their first save https://www.destructoid.com/new-study-shows-30-of-minecraft-players-still-have-their-first-save/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=new-study-shows-30-of-minecraft-players-still-have-their-first-save https://www.destructoid.com/new-study-shows-30-of-minecraft-players-still-have-their-first-save/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 22:52:04 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1008414 Minecraft: a fish-eye lens image showing Steve and Alex perched on a greeny, blocky bit of ground.

What studio doesn't dream of the type of success and longevity that Minecraft has? Not only is it the second-biggest game ever in terms of sales, its rise from a solo indie project to world domination is one of the most noteworthy in all of gaming.

But is this popularity starting to wane a little? I must admit, even as a fan who recently got back into the game (again), I wonder how much life is left in the old girl. However, according to a study conducted back in December 2024, more than a few players think Minecraft's juggernaut is unlikely to slow down any time soon.

Image via Radio Times

The study was conducted by Liquid Web (login required, unfortunately), which asked 1,000 users about their playing habits. Admittedly, that might not seem like many people to survey in the grand scheme of things, but the results are pretty interesting.

A small percentage play the game daily, at least

Perhaps one of my favorite statistics is that around 30% of Minecraft players still have their first-ever save file. Now, I can't imagine how they've managed to keep hold of their maiden world unless they've been playing recently. Do any of you still have your first save? I don't even have my first car, and I only passed my driving test a few years ago.

The study from Liquid Web also shows that players still feel Minecraft has a strong future. For example, four out of five players who are classed as Gen Z think the game will still be popular in a decade's time, while 25% said they would be willing to pay to access new features.

Additionally, around half feel that "player creativity and user-generated content" is the reason they keep playing, while two out of five players say Minecraft mods and/or customer servers are "essential to their enjoyment."

It should be reiterated that this is based on 1,000 users surveyed, so take from that what you will. But if we learn anything from this data, it's that we probably won't be seeing a Minecraft 2 any time soon.

Should you kill or spare the Cumans in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2? https://www.destructoid.com/should-you-kill-or-spare-the-cumans-in-kingdom-come-deliverance-2/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=should-you-kill-or-spare-the-cumans-in-kingdom-come-deliverance-2 https://www.destructoid.com/should-you-kill-or-spare-the-cumans-in-kingdom-come-deliverance-2/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 22:49:58 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1008286 Cumans sitting down in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

During the process of The Hermit side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you'll come across some Cumans at a local tavern.

To get some much-needed help from the innkeeper, you need to serve the Cumans some sausages. However, Cumans aren't much-liked in Bohemia, so serving them raises the ire of local citizens at the tavern. This eventually leads to a decision that forces you to kill or spare the Cumans.

Choosing to kill the Cumans in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The quest involving the Cumans is called "Invaders," and it begins after you try and ask the innkeeper at Troskowitz about The Hermit. The innkeeper won't tell you anything about The Hermit until you help serve the Cumans, but she also doesn't want any ruckus to come out of the situation, given how your last visit to the tavern went.

The Cumans just want some sausage at the tavern. Screenshot by Destructoid

When you serve the Cumans their sausages, nearby tavern-goers make a huge fuss about you even giving them the time of day. At various points during the dialogue between the citizens at the tavern and the Cumans, you have the chance to interject and take one side or simply stay out of it.

Of course, if you played the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you might be inclined to join in on the dogpiling of the Cumans. If you continue to take the side of your fellow citizens, you'll eventually have to kill all four of the Cumans who were sitting at the tavern. Other NPCs at the tavern join you in this fight, but it can still be fairly difficult, as multiple Cumans can target you at once, and they're wearing impressive armor while wielding decent swords.

However, if you manage to escape the situation alive, the Invaders quest will simply end, no other objectives. You can return to the innkeeper to learn about the Hermit and go on with other quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. No one truly cares about dead Cumans, so there are no real repercussions for your actions at the tavern.

Choosing to spare the Cumans in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The aftermath of sparing the Cumans. Screenshot by Destructoid

Alternatively, you can side with the Cumans against the tavern-goers who want them to leave. You might find yourself leaning toward this decision, as the Cumans are simply trying to enjoy a meal in peace and not harming anyone around them.

If you want to spare the Cumans, then tell the tavern-goers to leave them alone, which starts a brawl with the NPCs. The Cumans join you in the fight, and you can pretty easily defeat all of the citizens, including the leader, Vuytek. After the fight is over, Vuytek and the other NPCs will walk off their wounds, but the Invaders quest isn't yet done.

If you check your journal in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you'll see a few new options under the Invaders section. You can now ask about the Cumans in Semine and try to find the Cumans' camp so they don't return to the tavern and cause more trouble. You can also speak to Vasko, the leader of the four Cumans, to learn more about them and where they're headed.

The Invaders questline after choosing to spare the Cumans. Screenshot by Destructoid

Speaking to Vasko allows you to see the location of the Cumans' camp, which is right near the Nomads' Camp on your map. If you haven't discovered that location yet, Vasko gives you a description of what to look for, and the quest area is marked on the map. By visiting the camp, you can talk to Vasko more and start an entirely different storyline that involves multiple other characters and several new objectives.

I won't spoil the rest of the quest, but it takes you down a route you likely didn't think would happen just by sticking up for the Cumans at the tavern.

Which option should you pick with the Cumans?

If you're not looking for another long side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, then you can simply kill the Cumans and be done with them.

However, if you want to go on a decently long quest that leads you to some different locations, defend the Cumans and head to their camp. The Invaders quest with the Cumans is one of the better side quests you can go on in the early part of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, so I would say it's worth it even if you don't want to complete it right away.

How and where to get the best horse in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 https://www.destructoid.com/how-and-where-to-get-the-best-horse-in-kingdom-come-deliverance-2/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-and-where-to-get-the-best-horse-in-kingdom-come-deliverance-2 https://www.destructoid.com/how-and-where-to-get-the-best-horse-in-kingdom-come-deliverance-2/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 22:01:44 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1008802 Henry with Pebbles in KCD2

The dangers of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's world poses a huge threat to Henry, especially if you're walking on foot. That's why it's crucial to have trusty steed at your side to ease the stress of travel. We'll show you the best horse in KCD2 to set you up for success.

KCD2's best horse and location

Since every steed has advantages and disadvantages, it's hard to pick one choice for the best horse in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. While some excel in stamina, others cater more towards capacity, so it all depends on what you prefer. To cover both the Trosky and Kuttenberg regions, here's a list of the best horses and what they excel in:

Best For Horse Name Where to Get
Best early game horse Pebbles Semine Horse Trader in Trosky
Best free horse Herring Complete the From Whom the Bells Tolls quest. Talk to Lord von Bergow and the Hired Hand Kabat to receive the horse for free.
Best horse in Trosky Bronka Von Bergow's ambushed men POI near Semine
Best for stamina and speed Kincsem Purchase from Groom Hanniker trader in Kuttenberg
Best capacity and courage Erdel Purchase from Groom Hashtalin in Maleshov (Kuttenburg)

The best horses in the game primarily reside in the second map, the Kuttenberg region, which can take a while to unlock. Luckily, there are still a few steeds in the starter Trosky region, with the old reliable Pebbles and the mysterious Herring. Although Pebbles' stats aren't that great initially, you'll see her worth the more you upgrade her over time. Plus, this horse is a nice callback to the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance story as one of the free steeds.

Unlike the other horses on this list, the Herring is one of the only free horses in KCD2. It'll be a part of the From Whom the Bells Tolls quest after you find a way to get into the wedding. If you're looking for another horse in Trosky, you can steal Bronka in Von Bergow's ambushed men POI to the right of Semine.

Considering that it'll be a stolen horse, you must go to the Nomad Camp, towards the left side of Semine. Speak to Horse handler Mikolai to claim ownership of Herring.

Use any of these horses to work your way to the second map. Then, you can buy the speedster Kincsem in the heart of Kuttenberg or high capacity Erdel in Maleshov. Keep in mind that there isn't an exact price for each steed since you can haggle the traders for a lower purchase. Depending on how the haggling goes, they usually go for 2,000 to 4,000 Groschen. Affording those prices will certainly be difficult, and you can check out our guide on how to make Groschen fast for money tips.

All best horse stats in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

If you're curious about the stats of these best horses, here's a list of what you can expect (shout to YouTuber NorZZa for compiling an extensive list of horse stats):

Horse Stamina Capacity Speed Courage
Pebbles 127 138 30 12
Herring 169 138 34 14
Bronka 152 158 52 8
Kincsem 235 138 60 5
Erdel 140 368 48 30

As you can see, the horses with superb stats in one category can take a hit with others. For instance, Kincsem does well in speed and stamina but not in capacity and courage. However, stats can improve, primarily if you unlock the Red Herring perk for the free horse. There may also be more horses out there that have yet to be discovered, giving you a ton more options for your traveling companion.

There are a lot of Cooking Stations to unlock in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, each of which has a number of dedicated recipes that can be cooked. The Egg Pan Station is a Cooking Station that’s unlocked towards the later stages of a playthrough, and it’s definitely worth working towards.

The Egg Pan Station in Island Adventure is specifically dedicated to sweet Crepes and Omelets, which shouldn't come as a surprise when you consider what this station actually is. If you want to know how to unlock, upgrade, or use the Egg Pan Station, here's everything you need to know.

How to unlock the Egg Pan Station in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Pekkle in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Screenshot by Destructoid

Unlocking the Egg Pan Station is mostly done through Pekkle and a frustrating search for Rockadoodles. To unlock it, you'll need to complete the following objectives:

  • Complete the “Open the Nature Preserve” quest
  • Find Pekkle and level up your friendship with him to level 8
  • Complete the “Rockadoodle Round Up”

Once you’ve done that, a new Around the Island quest will appear called “An Egg-cellent Plan.” Completing this quest will unlock the Egg Pan Station, which you’ll find located close to the Rockadoodler Corral in Gemstone Mountain.

How to upgrade the Egg Pan Station in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Gudetama in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Egg Pan Station uses Eggs as its main ingredient. Once you unlock the Station itself, you’ll be able to add one additional ingredient to cook various recipes. However, you’ll want to work towards upgrading the Egg Pan Station, because this unlocks the ability to add a second additional ingredient, so you can make even more recipes.

Unfortunately, upgrading the Egg Pan Station can end up being pretty frustrating. While upgrading the other Cooking Stations in Island Adventure is almost completely done through leveling up friendships with villagers, the Egg Pan Station is different.

To level up the Egg Pan Station, you’ll need to find and photograph 102 individual Gudetamas. The lazy egg can be found in various locations across the map, with 96 to find in the early-game areas and further ones to discover in the late-game, like Merry Meadow and Cloud Islands. Even if you find Tophat Gudetama each week, he doesn't count towards your total.

Once you’ve taken 102 Gudetama photos, interact with the Gudetama Board in Seaside Resort to upgrade the Egg Pan Station and unlock that precious second additional ingredient.

To make this easier to navigate, let’s split this into one-ingredient and two-ingredient recipes. Two ingredient recipes will only become available to make once you’ve upgraded the Egg Pan Station.

All recipes require one egg alongside the noted ingredient(s).

If you've played the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you may remember the Kuttenberg region. It was discussed several times during quests, but there was no way to get to it. Fortunately, KCD2 finally allows you to go here, and we're here to show you how you can unlock Kuttenberg.

How to unlock the second map in KCD2

When you first jump into Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you'll get the chance to explore the expansive Trosky region, including points of interest like Trosky Castle, Semine, and Zhelejov. You won't have access to the second map, Kuttenberg, as it is tied to a specific quest. In particular, you must complete the Storms main quest. It'll take you quite a while to reach this point, requiring a minimum of 11 to 12 hours of gameplay with the main story. If you want to see how long you've got until the Storms quest, here's a list of the missions you must complete first (in order):

  1. Last Rites
  2. Easy Riders
  3. Fortuna
  4. Laboratores
  5. Wedding Crashers
  6. For Whom the Bells Tolls
  7. Back in the Saddle
  8. Necessary Evil
  9. For Victory!
  10. Divine Messenger
  11. The Finger of God

The beginning of KCD2 is a long and difficult journey, especially when you need to find a way to get into the wedding. You'll just have to put in a lot of time and grind enough to unlock the Storms mission. Once you've reached this point, you'll trigger The Sword and the Quill main quest, taking you to Suchdol village in Kuttenberg. I won't delve into any spoilers here, but let's just say Kuttenberg is a pretty big place. That means there will be plenty more quests to unlock, including the Dancing with the Devil storyline.

A view of Kuttenburg
Image via Warhorse Studios

It will initially seem like you can't return to Trosky, as you're only presented with the Kuttenberg map. However, you can travel between the two regions using a caravan. If you're in Kuttenberg, use the caravan in Suchdol or the one near Nebakov Fortress while in Trosky. Keep in mind that some quests are time-limited, so you may need to be careful with frequent travels. Check out our all points of no return guide to ensure you don't miss out on any missions.

The Future Stars Academy: Scout Report is your gateway to getting a 91-rated Icon with double playstyle+ in EA FC 25, but an unfortunate bug has ruined the fortunes of many.

Thankfully, you can check out this guide before your selection to avoid making mistakes. The bug has resulted in the rewards being distributed erroneously. Instead of seeing their names, players are shown the codes (which makes it incredibly confusing).

Thankfully, here's the full set of what you get behind each pick after completing the Future Stars Academy: Scout Report objective.

All Future Stars Academy: Scout Report rewards in EA FC 25

The Future Stars Academy: Scout Report objective is pretty easy to complete. All you have to do is complete three matches in any Ultimate Team mode while having your Future Stars Academy player in the starting squad.

Once you complete the objective, you'll get two rewards: A pick between 5* Weak Foot/Skills, and 1 of 5 Playstyle+ pick (this will be your Academy Evo's second playstyle+ potentially). If you have been displayed a code, you won't know which reward to pick. Here's how to make your selection based on the coded names of the player pick.

  • AcademySlot109: 5* Weak Foot
  • AcademySlot110: 5* Skills
  • AcademySlot117: Trivela+
  • AcademySlot116: Intercept+
  • AcademySlot115: First Touch+
  • AcademySlot114: Tiki Taka+
  • AcademySlot113: Trickster+

If you want to select 5* Weak Foot, pick AcademySlot109. If you want Skills, go with 110. Similarly, pick the corresponding pick for your desired playstyle+. It's unclear as to when this bug is going to be fixed, so it's better to depend on the solutions mentioned here.

Once you have made your selections, you can then apply the relevant upgrades to your Academy Evo to improve them and unlock their full potential. Of course, the Future Stars promo is about special SBCs as well, and both Morgan Rogers and Andrea Pirlo offer terrific value.

Comfrey is an alchemy plant that appears multiple times during Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, both as a potion ingredient and a quest item. Whether you're looking to max your alchemy skill or want to finish an optional mission objective, knowing the best spot to find Comfrey will help you out.

Comfrey location in KCD2

The best spot to find Comfrey early on is in the Apothecary's herb garden in Troskowitz. The garden has several crops you can gather from to obtain this ingredient, among numerous others, quickly. Most NPCs won't notice or care if you take Comfrey from this spot, especially if you go at night when fewer people are around.

The apothecary's garden is in the southwestern part of Troskowitz. If you're starting from the fast travel point, head directly west, passing the carpenter's shop, until you reach a second entrance. Near the back, you'll find a garden with herbs, including Comfrey.

Another option is to search around farm fields and bodies of water for Comfrey spawns. The water west of Zhelejov Wagoner's Inn, farmlands northeast of Semine, and plains west of Troskowitz are some notable spots where you can find Comfrey plants. If you're closer to the west side of the map, Bozhena's cabin also has a few in front of and behind her house.

How to use Comfrey in KCD2

The main use of Comfrey is during the Miri Fajta quest. As you watch Marika nurse her injured lover, you'll ask Aranka for advice, to which she'll tell you you need Marigold, Comfrey, and some bandages. Although the Comfrey is optional, Bohush's situation is dire enough that having some will help his recovery and get you the best ending for this mission.

Outside of questing, you can need Comfrey to create the following potions:

  • Aesop
  • Buck's Blood
  • Painkiller Brew

Each potion has its uses, with Aesop increasing your horseback riding and dog-handling skills, Buck's Blood increasing your stamina, and Painkiller Brew lessening the negative effects of wounds. You can buy each of their recipes from merchants like Aranka in the Nomad's Camp, Apothecary Emmerich in Troskowitz, or the Herbalist in Kuttenberg, as detailed further in our list of alchemy recipe locations for KCD2.

The Morgan Rogers Future Stars SBC has arrived in EA FC 25 with two special cards, and you can pick between them to reinforce your Ultimate Team squad.

This is the first time when Rogers has received a promo item, and EA Sports has added two cards. After completing the SBC, you can select the version you want to keep. Let's examine how you can complete the challenge and which version is the better pick.

EA FC 25 Morgan Rogers Future Stars SBC tasks

The Morgan Rogers Future Stars SBC has three tasks, and here are the requirements.

Task 1 - England

  • Min. 1 Players from: England
  • Min. 1 Players: Team of the Week

Task 2 - Top Form

  • Min. 1 Players: Team of the Week

Task 3 - Premier League

  • Min. 1 Players from: Premier League
  • Min. Team Rating: 87

EA FC 25 Morgan Rogers Future Stars SBC solutions

Here's a set of solutions you can use to complete the latest Future Stars SBC.

Task 1 - England

  • Any 9 83-rated items
  • Smalling 82
  • Any 83-rated TOTW item

Task 2 - Top Form

  • Any 10 85-rated items
  • Any 83-rated TOTW item

Task 3 - Premier League

  • Osimhen 87

  • Pajor 87
  • Mateo 85
  • Gabriel 86
  • Hansen 90
  • Girellli 85
  • Bruno Fernandes 87
  • Benzema 86

Between the two cards, the item that can play as an LM is the better one statistically. It has one extra playstyle and can play in three different positions. That said, you should pick the one that suits your squad. If you're looking to play him as a CAM, the item with Pinged Pass+ and Finesse Shot+ is the better choice.

All things considered, you can't go wrong with this SBC, irrespective of which card you pick. For 170,000 coins worth of fodder, this is a must-complete SBC for all. If you're looking to add a new icon, make sure to check out this guide about the newly-released Andrea Pirlo SBC.

This is the best valued icon SBC released thus far in Ultimate Team. For 500,000 coins worth of fodder, you can add a fantastic item to your Ultimate Team squad. While Pirlo can operate as a CDM, he's best suited in the CM due to his stats. Dead Ball+ and Long Ball+ are great playstyles, as are Incisive Pass, Pinged Pass, Quick Step, and First Touch.

There is very little room for complaint with this SBC, and you should complete it as soon as possible. If you don't have a lot of fodder, the recently released Justin Kluivert and Zambo Anguissa POTM SBCs are two worthwhile alternatives to consider.

Monopoly GO Tycoon Racers guide and rewards list (February 2025) https://www.destructoid.com/monopoly-go-tycoon-racers-guide-rewards/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=monopoly-go-tycoon-racers-guide-rewards https://www.destructoid.com/monopoly-go-tycoon-racers-guide-rewards/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 18:33:28 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=534793 Monopoly GO Tycoon Racers event

Monopoly GO's Tycoon Racers event debuted worldwide on June 12, 2024. Since then, it has reappeared once a month, with the latest iteration taking place on February 6, 2025. It's time to race around your Monopoly board alongside three other players to collect thousands of dice and a Swap Pack.

There's a surprising amount of strategy involved in this particular minigame. During three days, you'll participate in multiple races, allowing the rankings to shift depending on your performance. Let's check out how the Tycoon Racers event works and how you can score points right now.

All Tycoon Racers rewards in Monopoly GO

Unlike your typical Partners, Peg-E prize drop, or banner event, Tycoon Racer rewards appear as you complete laps around your Monopoly board and at the end of your three races. There are two types of prizes you can win:

  • Leaderboard ranking prizes
  • Lap completion rewards

As you compete against other groups, you'll advance through races, rewarding you with items based on your ranking. You can also pick up random prizes as you complete laps, giving you a consistent method of obtaining flags, dice, and cash.

With that said, below are the ranking prizes you'll receive at the end of February 2025's version of Tycoon Racers, depending on how many medals you receive during your three races:

  • First place: Red Flyer token, Swap Pack, Five-Star Sticker Pack, an Emoji
  • Second place: Five-Star Sticker Pack, Four-Star Sticker Pack, an Emoji
  • Third place: Four-Star Sticker Pack, Three-Star Sticker Pack, an Emoji
  • Fourth place: Two-Star Sticker Pack, One-Star Sticker Pack

Monopoly GO Tycoon Racers February 2025 edition
Screenshot by Destructoid

You'll receive a grand prize of a Swap Pack, a five-star pack, and the Red Flyer board token by collecting the most medals by the event's end. In other words, although this event eats away at your dice quickly, it's a solid opportunity to get some new stickers to complete your album collections.

These rewards change if you choose to play solo mode. The prizes are debuffed significantly, with the top-ranking player receiving board tokens and four-star packs rather than Swap Packs. If you're not concerned about this and prefer playing Tycoon Racers alone, it may be worth a quick swap.

You and your partners will also complete laps around the racetrack throughout the event, obtaining additional prize options as you reach different milestones, ranging from 100 dice to more Tycoon Racers flags.

How to score points during Monopoly GO's Tycoon Racers event

Like Partners events, scoring points during Tycoon Racers requires collecting flags and activating a dice popper. You can head into your Tycoon Racers event menu to find this points popper, which you'll use as you obtain flags from banner events, quick wins, and tournament prizes. The result of your three dice rolls and your current multiplier determines your points.

Monopoly GO Tycoon Racers dice
Screenshot by Destructoid

By changing your multiplier and tapping on the dice popper, you'll roll dice based on how many flags you have. The points you receive depend on the sum of the dice, so the result is entirely luck-dependent. You also team up with three other players, who'll all collect points simultaneously to advance you through the race.

What is Tycoon Racers in Monopoly GO?

Monopoly GO's Tycoon Racers event is an iteration of Partners events that allows you to team up with three players instead of having several individual partners. By working together with three other people, you'll race against other teams around a race track, collecting various boosts and small rewards as you complete laps. The rewards you win for each race depend on who gains the most points and who receives the most medals at the very end.

How to start an Alliance with a leader in Civilization 7 https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-start-an-alliance-with-a-leader-in-civilization-7/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-start-an-alliance-with-a-leader-in-civilization-7 https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-start-an-alliance-with-a-leader-in-civilization-7/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 18:27:22 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1008627 Civilization 7 city

From the opening hour to the very end of a playthrough in Civilization 7, you'll meet a variety of other world leaders. They control different parts of the map with settlements, and you need to interact with them to help build up your empire.

However, if you want to take it a step further, you can also create an alliance with another leader, which comes with some unique benefits.

How to find other leaders on the map in Civilization 7

Before you can start an alliance with a leader, you need to find them. Fortunately, other world leaders will present themselves to you as you explore your map in Civilization 7.

The best way to meet every leader on the map is to take a Scout in the Antiquity Age or a Scout/naval unit in the Exploration Age and uncover every tile you can. Through uncovering tiles, you'll discover other continents and lands where other leaders have set up their empires.

When you discover a new leader's settlement, the game will introduce you to them, and you'll be able to greet them with hostility or friendship. If you want to start an alliance with the leader, it's much easier to do so if you greet them nicely, as this starts your relationship off with them at a higher point.

You can discover every single leader on your map by the time most or all of the tiles are uncovered. Then, you can view your status with each leader and take action with them by clicking each one's portrait in the top-right of the screen in Civilization 7.

How to start an alliance in Civilization 7

Now that you know how to meet leaders, it's time to go full Dwight Schrute and start talking alliances. You can start an alliance with any leader in Civilization 7, but there are a few requirements that need to be met before you can even get to that point.

Forming an alliance with Harriet Tubman in Civilization 7. Screenshot by Destructoid

First and foremost, you need to have a strong relationship with another leader even to have the chance to ask them about an alliance. Specifically, your relationship with a leader must reach 90 before the game allows you to select the "Form Alliance" button in a leader's menu. When the relationship reaches 90, you can ask the other leader if they would like an alliance, and in my experience, they'll always say yes.

While you can manually ask a leader for an alliance, they can also approach you about an alliance, giving you the chance to accept or reject the offer. Once again, though, this only happens after your relationship reaches the "90" threshold.

It should also be noted that in the future in Civilization 7, you will have to make decisions that can continue or end your alliance with a leader. Most notably, if a leader you have an alliance with asks you to join in a war against another leader, you will have to accept that call if you want to keep the alliance. Denying the war request ends that alliance with the leader.

Choosing to start a war or keep an alliance. Screenshot by Destructoid

Alliances can also end if you don't engage enough with the leader through diplomatic actions, so always make sure you have at least one action going with an allied leader.

How to improve relationship with a leader in Civilization 7

If you look at your relationship number with a leader and it's nowhere near 90, then you're likely wondering how to boost that number.

Well, the main way to increase your relationship with a leader is simply by engaging in diplomatic actions with them. Opening your borders, starting a cultural celebration, or establishing more trade routes are all things you want to do consistently to improve your relationship with leaders.

Everything affecting my relationship with Harriet Tubman in Civilization 7. Screenshot by Destructoid

However, there are also gameplay elements to maintaining a leader relationship. For example, if you start a settlement too close to a leader's capital, you'll receive a huge penalty to your relationship status with that leader. The same goes if your borders touch with a leader's settlements. You can view everything affecting your relationship number with a leader by clicking their portrait and selecting the heart tab.

For the most part, if you don't engage in war against a leader and leave their borders alone, you'll eventually be able to reach the alliance point with them in Civilization 7.

You can also get small prizes as you race around the track, ranging from additional flags to dice and sticker packs.

The previous event was the return of Juggle Jam, a carnival-style game where you arrange colored balls and exchange tickets for rewards. Your goal is to guess the correct sequence of ball colors, with one guess equaling one purple token. Completing a round grants you tickets to spend on random prizes.

Alongside your regular events and minigames, Monopoly GO also has a Quick Wins list that gives you a small amount of dice and cash. Each day, you can collect various milestone prizes for finishing all three Quick Wins, with a weekly prize usually consisting of five-star packs or Wild Stickers.

Here is today's Quick Wins list, updated on February 7, 2025.

Monopoly GO's daily Quick Win tasks are among the most helpful ways to get dice, cash, and sticker packs as a new or experienced player. These rewards can make a huge difference between completing your seasonal sticker packs and being just a few cards short.

Today's Monopoly GO Quick Wins tasks and rewards

Monopoly GO has three Quick Win objectives you can complete daily. These are typically quick and easy tasks you can finish to gain some small rewards and advance through a weekly prize pool. While early week rewards are small, the grand prize is usually a Five-Star pack, Swap Pack, or a Wild Sticker if we're lucky.

Here's a complete list of today's Quick Win tasks and rewards, updated on February 7, 2025.

Quick Win Rewards
Pass Go two times 10 Dice
60 Tycoon Racers flags
Three progress points
Shut Down two times Cash
60 Tycoon Racers flags
Four progress points
Collect one Sticker One-Star Sticker Pack
90 Tycoon Racers flags
Five progress points

What are Quick Win tasks?

Monopoly GO's Quick Wins are daily tasks you complete for weekly rewards. You'll receive five small prizes daily, including dice, low-tier sticker packs, or emojis. The end-of-week reward is the most valuable, ranging between a Five-Star pack, Swap Packs, or even a Wild Sticker.

Here are some Quick Win objectives you might encounter throughout your Monopoly GO playthrough:

  • Pass Go X times
  • Collect one sticker
  • Land on X space one time
  • Collect cash
  • Roll doubles X times
  • Upgrade X landmarks
  • Complete a Landmark Shutdown/Bank Heist X times

Since these are daily tasks, Scopely has designed them to be relatively easy to complete, even if you're a new player. However, you may still miss a few, especially if you're out of dice or don't get opportunities to open sticker packs.

How to find Monopoly GO's Quick Win task list

Your Quick Wins list is available directly on your main Monopoly GO screen. After loading in and arriving on your board, tap the "Wins" button in the bottom left corner of your screen to find your Quick Win objectives. You'll also spot a timer until the list refreshes, your weekly progress, and a reward bar at the bottom of the screen.

How many Quick Wins can you miss?

In Monopoly GO, completing all three Quick Win objectives daily will grant you 84 progress points a week. You only need 74 points to get a week's grand prize, allowing you to miss up to ten points worth of tasks.

However, one day gives you 12 points, so you can't miss a full day. Instead, you can have one day to complete the first task and skip the last two or two days to miss the third objective. As long as your missed tasks don't exceed ten progress points, you're in the clear for the week's end.

Tips for completing Monopoly GO Daily Quick Wins

Your exact strategies to finish your Quick Win tasks will depend on the day's objectives. While some days rely heavily on your dice rolls, others focus on upgrading landmarks and collecting stickers. That said, below are some tips for ensuring you complete all three of your daily Quick Win tasks and get your weekly grand prize:

  • Log on every day, even for a few minutes. Missing one day automatically locks you out of the weekly grand prize until the following week!
  • Try to finish your objectives early in the day so you don't forget about them later.
  • Plan your dice rolling, sticker trading, and money spending carefully. If you upgrade your landmarks before it appears as a Quick Win task, there's a chance you won't be able to finish it unless you have enough dice to collect more cash.
  • If you're not active in the sticker trading community, ask a friend or family member to swap one-star cards for sticker-collecting tasks.
  • If you run out of dice and need to complete a task like passing Go or rolling doubles, use resources like events, tournaments, and free dice links to obtain some more.

Good luck finishing your Quick Wins and grabbing some weekly prizes. Whether you're completing a Partners event or want to snag a five-star pack, hopping on and completing these is one of the easiest ways to get valuables items each week, especially if you're a new player who doesn't have access to thousands of dice and tens of thousands of levels worth of profile upgrades.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date, trailer, and platforms, confirmed https://www.destructoid.com/metal-gear-solid-delta-snake-eater-release-date-trailer-and-platforms-confirmed/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=metal-gear-solid-delta-snake-eater-release-date-trailer-and-platforms-confirmed https://www.destructoid.com/metal-gear-solid-delta-snake-eater-release-date-trailer-and-platforms-confirmed/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 18:02:01 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1008618 Metal Gear Solid Delta Release date and platforms

After two decades following its original release, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be a trip down memory lane for every hardcore fan of the franchise.

Thanks to a leaked trailer doing the rounds on social media for the last 24 hours, we know when the game will launch. The trailer also lists the platforms where the game is going to be available. Unless there are any unprecedented delays at the ends of the developers, the wait won't be long.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will release globally on August 28, 2025. This was first revealed by the leaked trailer, which appears to be from the PSN Store's backend. So far, we haven't had any official idea about the date, although it was known that the remake would be available in 2025.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater trailer explained

The nearly two-minute-long trailer is the first peek at how the technology has changed over the last two decades. While the main plot will be the same, the remake will have significantly better graphics for starters. This is obvious as the project was built on Unreal Engine 5 instead of Konami's proprietary FOX Engine.

Expect significant changes in how some fundamental movement mechanics work inside the game. For example, Snake can now crouch-walk, and you'll be able to aim more precisely. These changes will certainly take away some of the more janky mechanics in the original version.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater platforms

Unless you're on an old-gen console, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be available at launch. The game will be available on the PS5, the Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC via Steam).

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater promo image
Image via Konami

So far, we have no idea whether the game will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2, but that will largely depend on when the console becomes available worldwide.

If you want to play early, the Deluxe Edition will provide that opportunity. The edition will have up to three days of early access for those willing to pay extra. Currently, the Steam page is up, but much information is yet to be disclosed.

It will be interesting to learn more about the upcoming launch and if Konami will showcase more features and gameplay videos to the audience in the coming months.

PC can’t quite match Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s needs? Try these low graphics mods https://www.destructoid.com/pc-cant-quite-match-kingdom-come-deliverance-2s-needs-try-these-low-graphics-mods/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=pc-cant-quite-match-kingdom-come-deliverance-2s-needs-try-these-low-graphics-mods https://www.destructoid.com/pc-cant-quite-match-kingdom-come-deliverance-2s-needs-try-these-low-graphics-mods/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 17:55:46 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1008514 Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: a male character looking low quality in front of a gray building.

The power of PC gaming means you can experience the eye-melting crispness of some of the most advanced graphics around. If you have the juice for it, natch. With something like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you don't necessarily need a monster rig, but you may still want an enhanced performance.

Say you want to run Warhorse Studios' new game through Steam, but you're not confident in your PC's hardware capabilities, well this is where modding comes to the rescue. Thanks to Nexus Mods user Jindra1403, you can reduce the visuals in Deliverance 2 beyond what the vanilla release ideally wants.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: a green field that stretches into the distance, but it looks low quality.
Image via Jindra1403/Nexus Mods.

This comes in two flavors: Very Low and Ultra Low, both of which do exactly what you'd expect. The former will allow you to "run the game at acceptable frame rates on systems with much lower specifications than those minimal required by the game."

Who needs textures, anyway?

If, however, you need to be doubly sure Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will run smoothly, the latter reduces graphical fidelity even more. The images show what can only be described as a "smooth" character, one devoid of any detail. But, crucially, it will allow you to run the game on lower-spec systems.

Also, the overall resolution for both mods has been "brute forced to HD (1280x720)," with V-Sync turned off for Ultra Low settings. You can change this in Notepad if you wish. It's also worth noting that neither of these mods will "interfere with or change DLSS/FSR settings," though Jindra1403 suggests leaving them off. You may also encounter a couple of issues, given that these settings take the game below expectations in terms of visuals.

According to Steam, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 doesn't require anything too beastly if you just want to run it at minimum requirements. It's only once you're aiming for recommended settings that we start to see words like "RTX 4070" crop up.

How to spot secrets in Destiny 2: Nether? https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-spot-secrets-in-destiny-2-nether/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-spot-secrets-in-destiny-2-nether https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-spot-secrets-in-destiny-2-nether/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 17:40:24 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1008332 A key Destiny 2: Heresy art depicting the Dreadnaught in its revised, Taken form.

Did you know that Destiny 2: Heresy has a pretty darn foolproof system for spotting secrets no matter where you are? This might not have been a big deal in seasons prior, but The Nether activity has oodles of secret chests and whatnot, which means you'll be hunting for those.

For better or for worse, The Nether is the crux of Destiny 2: Heresy. It's not that the rest of the seasonal offers are bad (quite the opposite, in fact), but Nether is such a stellar experience almost across the board that you'll probably be spending hours upon hours prowling through the Dreadnaught. Much of it's got to do with chasing loot, naturally, and the good news is that Nether is loaded with goodies. The bad news is that the majority of them are tied to secret chests, and you need to know how to chase those down. Fret not, though, because I've got a trick for you: relying on your Ghost!

destiny-2-the-final-shape-broken-ghost
Screenshot by Destructoid

How to find all the secrets and chests in The Nether activity in Destiny 2

Pull out your Ghost! No, really, it's that simple: you just need to pull the ol' Ghost out, and if you're reasonably close to a secret chest, Ghost will turn in its general direction. Better yet, even if you're not actually having your Ghost out to look for secrets, you're going to get a Ghost icon in the upper right corner of your HUD whenever you're close to a scannable/lootable goodie.

You can build upon this feature, too: use the Wombo Detector Ghost mod at all times. It allows you to detect resource drops and loot caches within 50 meters of where you stand, automatically marking them on your HUD as soon as you're in range. Note that this will also help you stack up on Metastisized Essentia and the Essence of Desire, which is particularly handy.

The small downside to this feature is that the secret loot chests, for example, do not despawn. This means they'll remain on your HUD even after you've looted them, making them a royal pain to keep track of during a prolonged Nether run.

On a final note, make sure to give this technique a shot in the new Sundered Doctrine Dungeon, too. You never know: this feature used to be extremely popular back in the earlier years of Destiny 2's content roster, where Ghost would be able to scan various points of interest to deliver semi-hidden narrative context. It was great fun, as repetitive as it might've gotten in the end, and I'm thrilled to see a partial return to form for the feature.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Henry breaks the fourth wall with royal compliments in Photo Mode https://www.destructoid.com/kingdom-come-deliverance-2s-henry-breaks-the-fourth-wall-with-royal-compliments-in-photo-mode/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=kingdom-come-deliverance-2s-henry-breaks-the-fourth-wall-with-royal-compliments-in-photo-mode https://www.destructoid.com/kingdom-come-deliverance-2s-henry-breaks-the-fourth-wall-with-royal-compliments-in-photo-mode/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 17:19:23 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1008666 Henry in KCD2

In all the time I've spent with Henry in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, I've learned that he's quite the charmer. And I'm not just talking about with the ladies or gentlemen; he's a smooth talker to the players themselves, as he boasts about their photography in Photo Mode.

When I first dabbled with this mode, the compliments from Henry completely went over my head. Then, I realized that he was actually talking to me, as the player, telling me how much of a great job I did with my not-so-very-great picture. He'll continue to break the fourth wall every time you exit out of this mode, using flattering remarks like "That's a good one!", "Beautiful!" and "Nice one!"

Henry saying "That's a good one!" in KCD2
Screenshot by Destructoid

I've been testing it out more and more to see if there's an object or romance option NPC that Henry reacts differently to, but to no avail. I even attempted it while I was on my way to cure his Drunkenness state, and no such luck either. He seems to always go through a loop of standard dialogue points, no matter where you are on the map. So, even if you take a picture of a bloody corpse with flies swirling around it, he'll still tell you how pretty it looks.

It's a welcome surprise to have a feature like this, which certainly brings a lot more humor and comfort to KCD2's tremendously violent world. However, I do wish we had a bit more to work with due to the basic functionality of the game's Photo Mode. There's only so much you can do with the angles, nor are there any sliders to help with lighting or saturation.

But if there's one thing that the Photo Mode desperately needs, it has to be the implementation of an emote or posture change for Henry. Sometimes, he's not the most photogenic person, standing awkwardly for the picture. It reminds me of all the horrible school pictures I took in my youth, where I didn't know how to smile.

Taking a picture of Henry in photo mode
Screenshot by Destructoid

Regardless of Henry's occasional hiccups with photography, it's still nice to even have Photo Mode introduced in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. It was a feature much desired in the first iteration, and now it's taken a step further with Henry's fourth-wall-breaking moments. Hopefully, we'll get more improvements to it in the near future. But, for the time being, I'm just going to take a bunch of adorable pictures of the dog Mutt.

FFXIV players can soon step into FFXI’s Vana’diel at a discount https://www.destructoid.com/ffxiv-players-can-soon-step-into-ffxis-vanadiel-at-a-discount/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=ffxiv-players-can-soon-step-into-ffxis-vanadiel-at-a-discount https://www.destructoid.com/ffxiv-players-can-soon-step-into-ffxis-vanadiel-at-a-discount/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 16:58:18 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1008637 Echoes of Vana'diel Discount Campaign artwork

Whether you’ve played Final Fantasy XI previously and are taking a break, or your interest has been piqued by the latest round of Final Fantasy XIVs Alliance Raids, FFXIV players will soon have a chance to enter Vana’diel at a discounted rate thanks to the Echoes of Vana’diel Discount Campaign.

The campaign was announced at the tail end of the Live Letter from the Producers 85 live stream on January 7, and it offers players a discounted 30 days to explore Vana’diel and learn more about the world that inspired the Echoes of Vana’diel Alliance Raid series currently underway as part of Dawntrail

Between February 12 and March 11, FFXIV players who sign up for a new FFXI account or reactivate an existing one can cut their FFXI service fee in half for the first 30 days. This service fee is usually $11.95 (service fee) plus $1 (character fee), totaling $12.95. If you sign up (or reactivate your account) during the campaign period, you’ll only pay $6.95 for your first month.

Service fee discounts in FFXI
Image via Square Enix

If you’re new to FFXI, you will need to purchase a copy of the game itself to play. Currently, you can purchase it via the Square Enix Store or Steam. Either way, the cost of the game is $29.99. On the plus side, purchasing the game also comes with its own 30-day free play period, so you’ll end up with 60 days of game time for half the cost of a usual month.

This is an amazing opportunity to learn more about the characters we’ve already encountered during FFXIVs Echoes of Vana’diel story and those we’ve yet to meet in the two as-yet-unreleased Alliance Raids. The story is more or less understandable even if you’ve never played FFXI, but the additional knowledge would certainly help to make sense of things.

Once your initial 30 days are over, you’ll then need to pay the full service fee if you want to keep playing FFXI, which you likely will once you’ve immersed yourself in the world for a full month.

FFXIV: Patch 7.18 scheduled for February 25, including new Instax collab emote https://www.destructoid.com/ffxiv-patch-7-18-scheduled-for-february-25-including-new-instax-collab-emote/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=ffxiv-patch-7-18-scheduled-for-february-25-including-new-instax-collab-emote https://www.destructoid.com/ffxiv-patch-7-18-scheduled-for-february-25-including-new-instax-collab-emote/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 16:39:03 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1008626 Camera emote in FFXIV

Final Fantasy XIV players still don’t have a set date for patch 7.2 (at best, we know it’s coming at some point in late March), but we do have a preliminary date for patch 7.18. Best of all, the minor patch will come with a cute collaborative emote for all players.

Patch 7.18 is due to release on February 25, although this is a scheduled date and is liable to change should last-minute adjustments be needed. This final patch of the 7.1x series comes around a month ahead of patch 7.2, which is due to drop at some point in the latter half of March. During LLP 85, in which players were given a ton of details about patch 7.2, we were also told of this fun photo-based collaboration.

As part of the 7.18 update, Final Fantasy XIV has teamed up with FujiFilm to celebrate Instax, an instant camera brand owned by the company. In-game, this will allow all players to get their hands on a special new emote, which sees your character using a virtual version of the Instax camera to get a snapshot.

Once the photo-taking emote is released, alongside patch 7.18, Final Fantasy XIV will hold a Screenshot Sweepstakes. These Sweepstakes allow players to submit their screenshots via Twitter for a chance to win items such as Modern Aesthetics - Cloud Strife or the Gaelicat Hat. We’ve seen plenty of these competitions in the past, and they always bring fans together across the globe in appreciation of the Group Pose skills on display.

Unfortunately, exact details of how the emote will be obtained have not yet been revealed and are likely to be given closer to the scheduled release date for the patch. I’m sure I’m not alone in admitting that I’ll do whatever it takes for this cutie because it deserves a place in my vast and ever-growing collection of emotes

If you like the camera used in the emote, it closely resembles the Instax Mini 12, which is currently available to purchase in five different colors for $79.75.

FFXIV: Naoki Yoshida addresses concerns surrounding third-party tool during Live Letter 85 https://www.destructoid.com/ffxiv-naoki-yoshida-addresses-concerns-surrounding-third-party-tool-during-live-letter-85/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=ffxiv-naoki-yoshida-addresses-concerns-surrounding-third-party-tool-during-live-letter-85 https://www.destructoid.com/ffxiv-naoki-yoshida-addresses-concerns-surrounding-third-party-tool-during-live-letter-85/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 16:17:45 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1008605 Thinking in FFXIV

Concern has been building within the Final Fantasy XIV community lately over a worrying third-party tool called PlayerScope, which exploits a weakness in the Blacklist feature to track down players. During LLP 85, Naoki Yoshida took a moment to address concerns.

Before viewers were informed about what to expect from the upcoming patch 7.2: Seekers of Eternity, Yoshida took a moment to discuss the worrying plugin, with Foxclon (Toshio Murouchi) providing English Translations.

He began by stating that, regardless of what the plugin can find, it cannot pull personal identifying details about any player. It’s reassuring to know that the plugin isn’t too much of a security risk, but that doesn’t stop it from being problematic.

FFXIV Live Letter 85
Screenshot via Final Fantasy XIV / YouTube

The plugin works by exploiting the Blacklist feature, which was updated as part of Dawntrail’s release to ensure that if you blacklisted one character on somebody’s account would also add their alternate characters to the blacklist as well, preventing somebody from being able to find you on an alternate character. This was a commonly requested feature and highly celebrated when it was implemented, but the new system has backfired and allowed for PlayerScope to be created and abused.

After explaining how it works, Yoshida went on to discuss what the development team plans to do about it. He didn’t go into too much detail, stating that they are still actively working on the issue and more details would be given soon. However, he did say that changes would be coming to the system in patch 7.2 when it releases at some point in late March.

However it changes, Yoshida assured that the changes already made to prevent stalking or harassment would remain in place. There are no plans to return to the old blacklist system, but changes will be coming to counteract this plugin and what it can currently do.

As always, Yoshida urged viewers to stay away from any third-party tools or plugins, reminding them that they are strictly against FFXIV's terms of service and that players caught using them risk being banned permanently from the game.

How to get Nettle and Belladonna in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-nettle-and-belladonna-in-kingdom-come-deliverance-2/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-get-nettle-and-belladonna-in-kingdom-come-deliverance-2 https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-nettle-and-belladonna-in-kingdom-come-deliverance-2/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 15:49:01 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1008588 Kindgom Come Deliverance 2 Nettle and Belladonna

Making Saviour Schnapps in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a great way to save your game without exiting or sleeping in a bed. However, it isn't easy to find in the wild, so making your own is often the way to go. To do this, you need Nettle and Belladonna.

If you want to make some Saviour Schnapps for your travels, you'll need at least one Nettle and two Belladonna. Since it's possible to fail the creation and make weak versions of this potion, having extra herbs will help you make additional batches. Here's how to find some Nettle and Belladonna.

Nettle and Belladonna locations in KCD2

Nettle and Belladonna spawn abundantly in the forests surrounding Bozhena's cabin, Zhelejov, and Troskowitz. In particular, searching along rivers and ponds is your best bet, as these two plants tend to grow more commonly near bodies of water.

Of these two plants, Nettle is much more common, appearing in abundance throughout most forests. For quick and easy access, head to Bozhena's Meadow where you found Chamomile and Sage during early parts of the main story or head into the forests between Zhelejov and Troskowitz for plenty of spawns. Later on in your playthrough, venturing into other forests around the map will often net you even more Nettle.

Belladonna is much rarer than Nettle. Although you can still find it in most forests, the best spot early on is the Nameless Spring east of Bozhena's Cabin. You'll find it by following the stream east of her place to its source. At the end, you'll find a basket full of Belladonna, and several plants to harvest. There's also plenty of Herb Paris for selling or potion-crafting.

Alternatively, if you're far from this spot and don't want to travel back, you can also find Belladonna in the forests around Zhelejov and Troskowitz. You'll often find it alongside Nettle, letting you knock out two birds with one stone.

In short, if you're running around towns or open fields, you're much less likely to find Nettle or Belladonna. Instead, you'll find plants like Marigold, Valerian, or Poppies, among other flower varieties. Venturing deep into forests is the way to go, especially if there's some water nearby. At most, searching areas like the Apothecary's herb garden in Troskowitz can occasionally give you some Nettle, but you won't find much Belladonna in these local spots.

How to make Saviour Schnapps using Nettle and Belladonna in KCD2

By far the best use of Nettle and Belladonna is to make Saviour Schnapps. You need one Nettle and two Belladonna for every Saviour Schnapps batch. Considering this potion is one of the few ways Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 lets you save, having extras on hand can help you in a pinch.

Here are the exact steps to making Saviour Schnapps using alchemy:

  1. Pour wine into the cauldron.
  2. Add nettle to the cauldron and boil for two turns.
  3. Grind the belladonna.
  4. Add the belladonna to the cauldron and boil for one turn.
  5. Finally, pour.

If you're familiar with KCD1, you can use the same strategy to get Regular and Strong Saviour Schnapps. Otherwise, you can experiment with KCD2's mechanics, flipping your sandglass and raising the cauldron at the right times to get the best quality possible.

You can also sell the herbs to make some money. Although herb selling isn't the most efficient way to farm Groschen, it's a solid option if you're avoiding crime or combat. Several skill perks can help make this a more worthwhile venture, including Potion Seller under Alchemy and On the Poacher's Trail under Survival to increase the money you get per herb.

Verse Piece Trait Passives Guide [Vergil Rerun] – How to Get & Use Corrupted Tickets https://www.destructoid.com/verse-piece-trait-passives-guide/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=verse-piece-trait-passives-guide https://www.destructoid.com/verse-piece-trait-passives-guide/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 15:44:07 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1008502 A player using the ultimate move of Cid V2 sword in Verse Piece Roblox experience

Traits in Verse Piece are one of the most important aspects of your character in Verse Piece. Primarily, they exponentially increase your damage and survivability. However, that's not all there is to them. Find out how to further buff your best traits with our Verse Piece trait passives guide below.

What are Trait Passives in Verse Piece?

  • Trait Passives shown in the stats menu in Verse Piece Roblox experience
  • Trait passives as shown in the Trait storage in Verse Piece Roblox experience

Trait passives in Verse Piece increase the damage multiplier given by your trait. For example, with the Godly passive (50% increased damage) on the Betrayer trait (7.5x damage multiplier), you will deal 11.25x the damage. Damage increase from trait passives isn't shown anywhere. However, it works, and you can test it by hitting the dummy on the Starter Island with a fruit, spec, or sword.

Verse Piece Trait Passives List

Below is a list of all currently available trait passives in Verse Piece. The progression here is very linear. The rarer the passive, the more it will increase your damage. Keep in mind that the trait passive works only on the trait you rerolled it on.

Trait Passive Bonus Chance
Weak 8% increased damage 25%
Strong 16% increased damage 2.5%
Descent 25% increased damage 1.5%
Insane 33% increased damage 0.75%
Godly 50% increased damage 0.25%
Impossible 74% increased damage 0.01%

How to Reroll Trait Passives in Verse Piece

  • Location of the trait passives NPC in Verse Piece Roblox experience
  • Corrupted Tickers shown in the player's inventory in Verse Piece Roblox experience

In Verse Piece, you can reroll passives on your trait by interacting with the Passive Traits Reroll NPC found in Karakura Town. Each reroll costs you 2,500 Gems and one Corrupted Ticket. If you have a decent trait passive already, try to save up at least a hundred Corrupted Tickets before rerolling again unless you have a duplicate trait in your storage.

How to Get Corrupted Tickets

Corrupted Tickets are difficult to come by in Verse Piece as they drop only from Corrupted Bosses, which have 10m HP. Now, there is a relatively easy way to farm Corrupted Tickets if you have a decent build, and that is by doing Corrupted Boss Rush dungeons.

  • Corrupted Boss Rush dungeon in Verse Piece Roblox experience
  • Corrupted Boss in Verse Piece Roblox experience

Each run contains five Corrupted Bosses, and you will need 10,000 Gems and 10 Dungeon Tickets to enter one. Corrupted Bosses drop one or two Corrupted Tickets, depending on whether there is an ongoing event that doubles material drops.

What Traits Are Worth Spending Corrupted Tickets On

In general, you want to spend Corrupted Tickets wisely, as they are relatively hard to come by. So, reroll passives on traits with the highest damage multiplier in Verse Piece. Good examples are Monarch, Betrayer, and Rejected Zenin traits. Lastly, if you have excess Corrupted Tickets, just save them until new traits come out.

I hope you are now ready to really max out your built-in Verse Piece with the trait passives guide above. If you want to claim some free materials, including Dungeon Tickets and Race Rerolls, then make sure to check out our Verse Piece codes.

Yumemizuki Mizuki’s best builds in Genshin Impact https://www.destructoid.com/yumemizuki-mizukis-best-builds-in-genshin-impact/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=yumemizuki-mizukis-best-builds-in-genshin-impact https://www.destructoid.com/yumemizuki-mizukis-best-builds-in-genshin-impact/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 15:35:24 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1007310 Yumemizuki Mizuki from Genshin Impact

Yumemizuki Mizuki (say that five times fast) is a 5-star Anemo Catalyst user in Genshin Impact. As an on-field Swirl DPS, Mizuki’s build requirements are quite unique. Here’s how to build Mizuki to blow away your competition!

What Talents to level on Mizuki

The Swirl reaction on its own doesn’t rely on Talent levels to deal damage. The top priority for Mizuki is to reach level 90 with as much Elemental Mastery as possible. Then, you can work on her Talents.

As for her Talents, prioritize Mizuki’s Skill, then Burst. Her Skill levels will increase the bonus damage dealt by her Swirls. Mizuki’s Burst levels increase her healing. You can ignore Mizuki’s Normal Attacks since they aren’t used in combat at all.

Best artifacts for Mizuki

Mizuki should equip the 4pc Viridescent Venerer (4VV) set. This is hands-down the best artifact set for Mizuki’s damage. If you don’t have a full 4VV set, equip whatever you have that provides the most Elemental Mastery and use it to farm a full set.

Sands Goblet Circlet
Elemental Mastery
Energy Recharge
Elemental Mastery Elemental Mastery

As for artifact stats, Mizuki only cares about two: Elemental Mastery (EM) and Energy Recharge (ER). EM main stats across the board will result in the highest damage, and you should be able to get enough Energy Recharge through substats. An Energy Recharge Sands can be a comfortable option, though, if you prefer more reliable Burst uptime at the expense of a bit of damage.

How much Energy Recharge does Mizuki need?

Mizuki’s ER requirements will depend heavily on her team but generally aren’t that high. Instead of aiming for a specific number, I recommend just focusing on obtaining artifacts with EM main stats and ER substats. As a ballpark estimate, 160% should be fine for most teams.

Best weapons for Mizuki

Mizuki’s best weapon is Sunny Morning Sleep-In, her signature 5-star Catalyst. It grants a significant amount of EM, making it the highest-damage option for Mizuki. Before you go gambling on the weapon banner, though, see if you already have any of the other weapons that can work on Mizuki.

Screenshot by Destructoid

A Thousand Floating Dreams or Starcaller’s Watch are strong contenders for second place. While their passives aren’t ideal for Mizuki, they still provide a good amount of EM through their secondary stat. Both weapons are limited 5-star Catalysts, though, so I only recommend using these if you already happen to have them.

Mizuki’s best 4-star weapon

As for 4-star weapons, Sacrificial Fragments is Mizuki’s strongest option for personal damage. It has the highest EM secondary stat of all 4-star Catalysts and can potentially allow for shorter rotations through its passive. You don’t even need a high-Refinement Sacrificial Fragments since its passive isn’t actually necessary.

Wandering Evenstar results in less personal damage but provides an ATK buff to Mizuki’s teammates based on her EM stat. If you’re okay with sacrificing some of Mizuki’s damage in exchange for more team damage, Wandering Evenstar is a great option. Refinements are welcome, but they might be hard to obtain due to Wandering Evenstar’s status as a limited weapon.

Best free-to-play weapon for Mizuki

Fruit of Fulfillment is Mizuki’s best weapon for free-to-play players who might not have the other options above. Its ER secondary stat means you can safely opt for EM sands, and it provides Mizuki with a decent EM buff. Fruit of Fulfillment can be crafted at any blacksmith using billets. If you decide to equip Mizuki with Fruit of Fulfillment, I recommend Refining it as much as you can.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has some fascinating characters you'll encounter on your adventures, and Riddler Barley's questions can be tricky to solve.

When you meet the character for the first time, he will drop a riddle on you. The first one is pretty easy to solve for anyone who has completed their first few hours in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. However, you'll soon realize that the riddles get progressively more challenging to crack.

All Riddler Barley riddle answers in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

You can get four riddles from Riddler Barley, and solving all of them will reward you with Groschen. However, you'll lose your in-game resources if you bet but can't solve the riddles.

Riddle Solution Wager
What belongs to you alone, but is used more often by others? My Name No wager
Once upon a time there was a fool of a farmer. Family he had none, no stable boys either, so he talked to his animals instead. And, good man that he was, whenever he made a Groschen or two, he shared it with them according to his own rules. Every hen in the coop was paid five Groschen, every bee in the hive 15, and the spider in the loft bagged a full twenty Groschen. And now you tell me, how much did the cat get? 10 100 Groschen
Jaromir the coachman hailed from Raborsch. One morning, he set off for Kuttenberg with an empty coach. Three lads boarded in Bohunowitz. When he arrived in Bojischt, one of the boys got out and a washerwoman took his place. In Horschan, the washerwoman went on her way and a pedlar and his daughter boarded. In Pschitoky, the remaining lads alighted and took the pedlar's daughter with them. And straight away, two fishermen got in. And on reaching Kuttenberg that evening, they invited the coachman to the bathhouse and got pig-drunk. And now you tell me, what was the coachman's name? Jaromir 150 Groschen
A bailiff has twelve men join up for service one day. The bailiff was glad, but soon discovered that he didn't have enough gear for them in the armoury. So those twelve men filed onto the square for the next morning's roll call. Six of them were wearing body armour, four had helmets. Only three of them wore both a helmet and body armour. Now, tell me, how many men were unlucky enough not to have either a helmet or armour… Five 150 Groschen

The solutions will help you solve all four riddles when Riddler Barley appears on your save. His appearance is completely random in nature, and you can potentially find him both regions. When you meet him, use the "Tell me a riddle" option for him to test your wits.

If you're concentrating more on the main questline, attending the wedding will be one of your very first job. To solve the Riddler's puzzles, you'll need Groschen, and here's how you can earn them quickly in the game.
