Hannah Spero

Biography
Hannah is a third-year Ph.D. student co-advised by Dr. Andrew Kennedy and Dr. Joannes Westerink in the Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Earth Sciences Department. She is interested in linking coastal boulder transport and deposition to storm and tsunami wave regimes. She is conducting a two-year Western Ireland field experiment directly linking storm waves to boulder transport on the Aran Islands and building out a global database of coastal boulder deposits. On campus, Hannah is involved in the Graduate Society of Women Engineers, and off campus, she coaches for a local traveling softball team.
