Biography
Former director of the Reilly Center and the HPS Graduate Program. Primary interests in history and philosophy of nineteenth- and twentieth-century physics, the history of the philosophy of science, and science and technology ethics. Life-long Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns, and Boston Celtics fan. Loves classical music, opera, jazz, gospel, and bluegrass. Uncompromising vegetarian. Former co-chair of the Central Kentucky chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (long before being a Democratic Socialist was cool). Proudest achievement was taking second prize in the cha-cha competition at the Cotillion Ball at age fourteen.
