Biography
Shehani is a second-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Biology under the guidance of Dr. Hope Hollocher. Her current research focuses on understanding the relationship between parasites and the gut microbiome. She's looking into how the various factors within the host, especially related to diet, affect this relationship. She's also interested in identifying the specific gut bacteria that help the host resist parasitic diseases.
