The Reilly Center is soliciting applications for grants of $1500 to fund academic lectures and other events on the ND campus during the 2020-2021 academic year that address medicine, illness, disability, medical education, or any similar subject. Proposals from the humanities, arts, and the social sciences that engage with these subjects are especially welcome, though the competition is open to faculty from all colleges.
Proposals should include the following elements:
- information on the proposed speaker and subject
- identification of the expected audience on campus
- budget and timeline
We have had a very successful first year of Educating the Whole Physician papers and events, following last year's competition. For details, visit reilly.nd.edu/whole-physician.
Review of applications begins on March 9, though we will accept applications on a rolling basis if funds are available.
For more information, please email Reilly Center director Robert Goulding. Please submit proposals via email to the Medicine and the Liberal Arts program administrator, Joyce Zurawski.
