As you search through your Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1 quest list, you might notice an objective simply stating that "demons have been seen near The Thousand Faces shop." Although the game gives no further information about this objective, the mystery lies behind one NPC: Doughberman.

As you approach the quest's location, you'll find Doughberman roaming around searching for demons, prompting you to help him. Here's how to complete Doughberman's secret Found quest in Fortnite.

How to find the demons near the Thousand Faces shop in Fortnite

Your destination for finding the demons near the Thousand Faces shop is Masked Meadows, a Named Location near the bottom of Fortnite's map. Highlighting the objective will show a marker at this POI, pointing you to a shop with a large red mask on its front. Upon arriving, you'll spot Doughberman wandering around, waiting for you to approach him.

As you approach Doughberman, he'll immediately tell you to "ready your buns" as a wave of demons rushes you both. You'll find five total demons in Masked Meadows, including a tough mini-boss like the ones near Kendo's portal. Fortunately, you have time to run around and pick at a couple of guns or potions, and the demons themselves also drop loot to pick up.

If you don't encounter this objective after finding Doughberman, there's a chance another player will beat you to the quest, especially if you visit this spot later in your match. Multiple people can contribute to this fight, so be prepared for others to attack you or the demons partway through. If you're unlucky, you may even get eliminated before the quest ends, forcing you to restart.

However, if this doesn't happen and you make it to Doughberman without any interruptions, you'll spot the demon NPCs as usual. Once you defeat all five, you'll find a new objective to claim a reward from Doughberman's treasure chest. It'll appear as a rare blue chest next to the pond with the bridge in the center of the POI.

Interact with the blue chest to claim your rewards, marking the end of Doughberman's Found quest and the "demons have been seen near The Thousand Faces shop" secret mission. You'll gain a full level-up for completing this quest, bringing you one step closer to obtaining every Battle Pass reward if you have it unlocked.

Fortnite OG Season 2 has ten quests, not including secret quests, which mainly focus on visiting newly added landmarks, which you can complete during its first month. It also has regular tasks like thanking the Battle Bus Driver, building structures, and searching chests, among other objectives. Here's the complete list of Greatest Hits quests during Fortnite OG Season 2:

Quest Requirements Rewards
Hit a player from at least two stories above at Tilted Towers Climb any tall building in the Tilted Towers named location and focus on anyone at ground level. The higher your climb, the higher your odds of having enough distance to meet this requirement. 20K XP
Damage players at new Named Locations (500) The new locations are Junk Junction, Haunted Hills, Snobby Shores, Tilted Towers, and Shifty Shafts. Visit any of these spots and damage others until you complete the quest. 20K XP
Use Small Shield Potions (5) Pick up any small shield potions on the ground, from chests, or as player elimination drops and use them during your matches. Large shield potions don't count. 20K XP
Score a goal at Stadium or Pleasant Park Visit either Pleasant Park or the unnamed location between Snobby Shores and Tilted Towers. You'll find large soccer (or football) fields where you can kick a ball around. Score the ball in one of the nets. 20K XP
Travel distance after jumping on a Launch Pad (1,000) Launch Pads are epic-rarity items you'll find in chests or as floor loot. Pick up any Launch Pad, place it using your Build Menu, and jump on it to glide around the map. The farther you travel, the quicker you'll finish this quest. 20K XP
Damage players beyond 20 meters with assault rifles (1,500) You can pick up assault rifles as regular chest, floor, and player elimination loot. Use them to get long-distance shots on other players throughout your matches. 20K XP
Build structures or use ziplines in different matches (3) During three separate matches, use your Build Menu to place down walls and platforms or search around until you find ziplines to use. 20K XP
Search chests or ammo boxes before the first Storm Circle closes (10) The first Storm Circles takes a few minutes to close. Visit any Named Location and search every nearby chest and ammo box until you complete the quest. You may have to travel to multiple spots or complete this during several matches. 20K XP
Thank the Bus Driver (5) Before the match starts, you can thank the Battle Bus driver by pressing B on PC, down on the D-pad if you use a controller, or pressing the emote button if you're on mobile. 20K XP
Visit a Named Location in each biome (4) Visiting Moisty Mire, Salty Springs, Anarchy Acres, and any location on the western side of the map will complete this quest. 20K XP

The previous season also ended around this time and was followed by a maintenance period that lasted a few hours. If this season follows the same pattern, Fortnite OG Season 2 will go down for maintenance at the following times on March 25:

  • US Pacific (PDT): 12:30 a.m. on March 25
  • US Eastern (EDT): 3:30 a.m. on March 25

Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 2 is now live inside the game, offering its fair share of secret quests for you to complete.

If you played Season 1, you'll know what to expect. Of course, there's no way to be certain about all the secret quests this early on in the season (they're secret, after all), but the community has already figured out a few that are currently available inside the game.

How to complete all secret quests in Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 2

Four secret quests have already been discovered. All of them can be completed for Easter Eggs, and three tasks are specific to particular areas. Let's take a look at how to complete the quests and where you can find them.

Secret Quest Location How to complete
Use a Chug Jug at Tomato Town The Chug Jug can be obtained from a regular chest, and you could also find them on the floor. The odds of finding it from the chest will be really low as it's a Legendary-rarity loot. Once you find the Chug Jug, just use it to complete the quest, but don't mix up the location. The Motel can be found in the northwest part between Junk Junction and Anarchy Acres
Search a chest at Umbrella Mine Umbrella Mine is located towards the northwest part of the map, and it's pretty close to Anarchy Acres This task is pretty simple, and all you have to do is to land at the correct spot. Be careful since many players will also try to do the same. Once you search a chest at the location, the quest will be completed.
Visit the Motel at night The Motel can be found to the northwest part between Junk Junction and Anarchy Acres To complete the task, you'll have to find the Motel. However, this must be done when it's night, so be precise with your timing. The spot is also great for getting general loot.
Hit players with Boogie Bombs Anywhere This task can be completed at any location, and all you have to do is to find and throw Boogie Bombs. Make sure you're targeting human enemies, as NPCs won't be considered.

The following image has location markers (blue pointers) for all three tasks that are specific to their given spots. If I had to guess, there are more secret quests to find and complete in Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 2. It will be interesting to find out if the community can find more in the days to come.

The Season Pass is also live, and it offers three different skins. You can unlock plenty of cosmetics by leveling up the pass, allowing you to adorn unique-looking items.

  • Cracked Mask Back Bling
  • Reno's Gearbag Back Bling
  • Kaiju No. 8 Wrap

Deck yourself out with the Defense Force's classic items, from a gear bag to a Kaiju No. 8-themed weapon wrap. Those who watch the anime or read the manga may have also noticed Kikoru Shinomiya's iconic Battle Axe. It doesn't seem to have the same shockwave effect as we've seen/read in Kaiju No. 8, but it does pretty well with getting rid of armor.

Each item is compatible with Fortnite Battle Royale; however, its availability may vary in other modes. For example, Kikoru's Personal Weapon, Kaiju No. 8's Scythe, and Freezing Round Axes cannot be used in Fortnite Festival and Rocket Racing. Therefore, you can't go rolling into these modes with these weapons.

Godzilla is invading Fortnite's world, and it's up to you and other Battle Royale participants to defeat him. Although Godzilla is powerful, the fragments he drops make restoring health and gaining movement buffs easier. However, they're not just your typical chest or floor drop like other items.

Where to find Godzilla's Fragments in Fortnite

Obtaining Godzilla's Fragments requires spawning into a Fortnite match where Godzilla's portal spawns. If you hit that 20 percent chance in your match, allow someone else to enter it so they turn into this monster. As you damage this player-turned-boss, he'll occasionally drop fragments, letting you pick them up from the ground.

Fortnite Godzilla Fragment drop on the floor
Screenshot by Destructoid

You'll know a fragment is about to drop when you damage Godzilla and spot small purple crystals breaking off its body. It'll fly off his body, landing some distance from the beast so you don't get instantly squashed by its stomp attack.

How to use Godzilla's Fragments in Fortnite

Once you pick up one of Godzilla's Fragments, you can use it like a regular shield potion or medkit. Your character will consume it instantly, giving you 40 points of health regen over a few seconds. You'll also gain three dash charges that let you burst-jump a short distance, much like the Underworld's rivers from previous Fortnite seasons.

Tips for using Godzilla's Fragments

The best times to use Godzilla's Fragments are while you're fighting the monster and after the battle when you face off against other players. Using them during the fight lets you keep your health high while fighting to get some extra hits in, raising your odds of obtaining Godzilla's Medallion at the end.

Alternatively, you can stockpile a few fragments for after the battle and use the dash charges you receive to chase other players. More often than not, other players will be weakened by Godzilla's onslaught, giving you the perfect opportunity to clean up a few kills and get one step closer to winning the match.

Hatsune Miku is perhaps the world's most well-known, instantly recognizable example of a relatively obscure type of celebrity — virtual idols. She’s essentially a computer program designed to sing and perform, and her voice has been used in well over 100,000 original songs.

In a world that’s ever more worried about the powers of AI, you would think that a virtual person taking over the music industry would be a cause for concern, but somehow, Hatsune Miku goes against the grain and has become beloved by fans, and a familiar face to anyone, even those who can’t put a name to that face.

Since her initial appearance in 2007, as part of Crypton Future Media’s ability to synthesize voices and images, Hatsune Miku has had a string of standalone games as part of the Vocaloid franchise. She’s been cemented in video game history in her own right, especially if you like rhythm games or have a particular penchant for anime girls, but she’s also appeared in a long list of games in crossovers or cameo appearances.

Here’s every game that Hatsune Miku has appeared in outside of her own standalone series, starting with the most prominent before moving on to the smaller bit parts.

Fortnite

If you’re even remotely keeping up with news in the gaming world, then this is likely the first crossover that came to mind, so let's get it out of the way relatively early. Running from January 2025 until April 2025, season 7 of Fortnite Festival has Hatsune Miku as the central star. Not only can players get a Hatsune Miku skin, which can be used in Battle Royale and Lego Fortnite: Odyssey, but they can also get “Neko Hatsune Miku” as a bonus for their purchase.

If you’re wondering, it’s the same as the other skin, except she’s wearing pink, and her hat has cat ears.

Anyway, as part of her main reason for being in Fortnite, four Hatsune Miku songs are included as “Jam Tracks” for players to play through. But let’s be honest, the main appeal of this crossover is the two skins.

Just Dance

Over the years, Hatsune Miku tracks have appeared in a variety of Just Dance’s yearly releases, and they never fail to become favorite tracks for fans or even just those looking to do a decent amount of exercise while they play. During a behind-the-scenes clip before her international debut in 2016, Ubisoft revealed that it had wanted to bring Hatsune Miku into the games for years.

Technically, the included songs aren’t even actually by Hatsune Miku, but she is credited for them in the games themselves. Here’s the list of songs that are available in Just Dance games internationally:

  • Just Dance 2016 - Otomania’s “Ievan Polkka”
  • Just Dance 2017 - LamazeP’s “PoPiPo”
  • Just Dance 2018 - OSTER project’s “Love Ward”

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout

Much like her more recent appearance in Fortnite, Hatsune Miku has also appeared in the hilarious yet frustrating Fall Guys, when some skins of her likeness were included as part of the season 2 battle pass and “Sound of the Future” event.

There were two costumes in total, one with the basic expected costume and another “Miku Blunderland” costume that had Hatsune Miku decked out in a more familiar Fall Guys hoodie and, inexplicably, fruit in her hair. There were also Nameplates up for grabs for those who earned enough points by grabbing Glow Sticks and Spring Onions.

It was a weird time, but the costumes were cute, in that comforting Fall Guys kind of way.

Fitness Boxing

For some people, enjoyment of exercise comes from the possibility of beating high scores, and if you want something cathartic, then Fitness Boxing is perfect. If you also happen to be a fan of Hatsune Miku, or the other Piapro characters for that matter, then you can punch your way through 24 tracks in Fitness Boxing feat. Hatsune Miku while Hatsune Miku accompanies you through your workout.

Admittedly, this is a bit of a niche crossover and was pretty much only picked up by those people who happen to land in the middle of a very particular exercise-lover-cross-anime-lover Venn diagram, but it is a lot of fun, and the music really is conducive of a solid workout routine.

Magic the Gathering

Hatsune Miku x Secret Lair (Magic the Gathering) promotional art
Image via Wizards of the Coast

Speaking of niche crossovers and stepping outside of the video game sphere for a moment to focus on something more appropriate for the tabletop, Magic: The Gathering started to release Secret Lair sets in 2024 featuring the virtual idol. Three sets have been dropped so far, with a fourth yet to arrive. The three currently available sets are as follows:

  • Secret Lair x Hatsune Miku: Sakura Superstar
  • Secret Lair x Hatsune Miku: Digital Sensation
  • Secret Lair x Hatsune Miku: Electric Entourage

It seems like a strange idea for a crossover, I know, but Magic: The Gathering has also had other strange Secret Lair crossovers with Ghostbusters and Chucky. 2025 will also see a Spongebob Squarepants set added to the mix. Somehow, it just works despite the fact that, on paper, it really shouldn’t.

Crypt of the NecroDancer

Hatsune Miku x Crypt of the NecroDancer promotional art

Hatsune Miku is available as a playable character in indie gem Crypt of the NecroDancer as part of the Hatsune Miku DLC, with a Leek as her dedicated weapon, which should come as no surprise whatsoever to anyone who is even remotely familiar with Hatsune Miku.

Unlike other basic characters in the game, Hatsune Miku can move diagonally and doesn’t miss a beat when she bounces off the walls, making her a useful character to have in your arsenal. She also has a bomb ability called “Sing Spell,” which hits a 3x3 area around wherever she stands and is capable of destroying walls and causing enemies affected to heal her rather than damage her.

Monster Hunter Frontier

Way back in 2013, Hatsune Miku appeared in a crossover with Monster Hunter Frontier, offering players an armor set fashioned on the appearance of Hatsune Miku and four unique weapons:

  • Mikuhon Dokosu (Hammer)
  • Hatsune Seigaku Dokuso (Hammer)
  • Mikuku Dokuso (Hunting Horn)
  • Hatsune Kenban Dokuso (Hunting Horn)

Sadly, Frontier was only ever available in Japan, Korea, and China, so this crossover was reserved for those who were based there. Servers for the game were shut down in 2019.

Ninjala

In 2021, Ninjala announced a collaboration event with Hatsune Miku, during which players could earn event rewards to exchange for Hatsune Miku-themed avatar items in the event Style Gacha systems. Items included outfits, accessories, stickers, emotes, and background music.

Running around the levels of Ninjala is insanely fun, and it was only made more fun by the inclusion of these event-limited goals. The event debuted in October 2021 and returned for part 2 in December 2023, featuring new rewards up for grabs.

The Battle Cats

In 2020, The Battle Cats announced that it would be holding a collaboration event with Hatsune Miku and other Vocaloid characters. During the two-week event, players could get their hands on a very long list of exclusive Vocaloid-themed items, as well as play through various themed stages.

Each of the kitty units had its own strengths and attacks, and they ranged from rare to super rare in terms of difficulty. They were obtained via a gacha system by completing stages or collecting stamps.

The roaring Godzilla has taken over Fortnite, setting its mark with its notorious Heat Ray. As you can imagine, it'll be quite hard to deal with, especially when you can get smushed to pieces with its heavy stomp.

But, if you think you're ready to tackle this monster, here's how to beat Godzilla in Fortnite.

Fortnite Godzilla boss guide

When entering the Battle Royale map, you may find Godzilla after a player transforms into it through a rare portal. Only one player can do this, so you won't have to deal with a bunch of monsters all at once. However, the chances of it spawning are pretty low, but you can exit the match after a few minutes to hopefully spawn it in the next game. You first want to pinpoint Godzilla's weak points: the illuminated spiky parts on the back of its body. If it stops glowing, you'll know that it's working.

Targeting the beast's weaknesses provides Godzilla's Fragments, which reward you with 40 Health and three dash charges. Make sure to pick those up if you're in a pinch, or use Shield Bubbles to protect yourself even more. The Rail Gun and Quad Launcher are the best weapons against Godzilla, so try to look for them in chests or other lootable objects. If you don't have any of the guns, utilize any tools with more extended range, like Assault Rifles. That way, you don't have to get up close and personal with the beast.

While you're on the offensive, watch out for these attacks from Godzilla:

  • Roar: Reveals nearby players
  • Mighty Stomp Attack: Sends you flying when too close
  • Heat Ray: Godzilla's most iconic attack that deals a considerable amount of damage

You'll earn the Godzilla Medallion and Burst Quad Launcher if you can deal the most damage to Godzilla. The medallion, in particular, offers a rechargeable dashing ability to give you a little more speed. In addition to the two items, you'll get some XP from the Godzilla quests when hitting it with a Quad Launcher or Rail Gun and inflicting the most damage against the monster.

To complete the rest of the Godzilla quests, you must become Godzilla yourself by hopping through its randomly spawned portal. Then, you can start your rampage and let everyone know who the boss of Fortnite Battle Royale is.

Fortnite: All Godzilla quests and how to complete them https://www.destructoid.com/fortnite-all-godzilla-quests-and-how-to-complete-them/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=fortnite-all-godzilla-quests-and-how-to-complete-them https://www.destructoid.com/fortnite-all-godzilla-quests-and-how-to-complete-them/#respond Fri, 17 Jan 2025 16:56:37 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=995382 Fortnite Godzilla quests

Is that Godzilla in the distance? Fortnite's world is witnessing the first sightings of this monstrous creature, and it's only a matter of time before we battle this beast ourselves. First, we'll need to complete a few quests and investigate the current situation before tackling the main boss.

Fortnite Nyanja quest list and walkthrough

The first of Godzilla's quest series comes from Nyanja, a Chapter Six character who has since been reintroduced to investigate this monster's whereabouts. Below is the complete list of Nyanja quests:

  • Investigate the footprints
  • Damage opponents from one story above or higher (120)
  • Find out Monarch's secrets (3)
  • Travel distance while airborne (1,954)
  • Place Kaiju detection beacons (2)

Fortunately, none of these are particularly challenging as long as you eliminate enough enemies to get from point A to B without any major obstacles. Beyond this, it's just a matter of reaching your map markers and flying around with your glider.

Investigate the footprints

Your first objective during Fortnite's Godzilla quest series is to investigate footprints spotted west of Shattered Span, a new landmark introduced in the latter half of Chapter Six, Season One. Head to this eastern tip to find massive water-filled footprints in some sand, marking the first signs of Godzilla's appearance.

Although this doesn't immediately reveal Godzilla, we now know it made its way into Fortnite's world. From here, you can either continue investigating or take a detour to fight some enemies.

Damage opponents from one story above or higher

Your next goal is to damage enemies one story above or higher. This can mean anything, from standing on top of a cliff and shooting down at another player to fighting without a building with its floors removed. You can also hop into build mode and tower above your opponent before inflicting 120 damage points. The important part is making sure you're above your enemy rather than on equal ground or from below.

Find out Monarch's secrets

It's back to investigating. This time, we uncover Monarch's secrets by visiting Pumped Power, Kappa Kappa Factory, and Foxy Floodgate. Each location has multiple secrets you can interact with, letting you finish this objective at one landmark if you wish.

In short, if an enemy unexpectedly approaches and eliminates you while you're searching for secrets, you'll at least have two other options to visit to wrap up this part of Godzilla's quest series.

Travel distance while airborne

Let's take another detour for a moment. Your next task is to reach nearly 2,000 points of travel distance. The easiest way to accomplish this is to take your time gliding around at the beginning of a match before dropping down and resuming your match. You'll fall slightly behind with this method, but at least you'll have an easy way to finish the objective.

Alternatively, you can search for launch pads around the map. This one is a little trickier but gives you a strategic approach to advancing through this objective while playing your match.

Your last option is completing this over multiple games. If you don't want your travel distance to impact your time on the mainland obtaining resources to fight, you can spend less time in the air and gather points during several matches. Since you're guaranteed to travel in the air one way or another, you'll eventually complete this objective even if you didn't intend to.

Place Kaiju detection beacons

Last on the list is placing Kaiju Detection Beacons around Fortnite's map. Although you only need to place two, you have the following four location options:

  • Northeast of Shattered Span
  • East of Hopeful Heights
  • North of Whiffy Wharf
  • Shogun's Solitude

Each location is at a corner of Fortnite's map, making them quite a distance to run unless you land in these spots from the Battle Bus. Otherwise, you'll have to rely on your traversal skills and a few shockwave grenades to reach these locations. Placing Kaiju Detection Beacons at two of these landmarks will complete the first part of Godzilla's quest series, readying you for Hope and Godzilla's parts.

Fortnite Hope quest list and walkthrough

During Fortnite's January 17 update, Hope and Godzilla's quest lists surfaced, giving you additional objectives. Below is the complete list of Hope quests:

  • Place Godzilla Evacuation Shelter signs (4)
  • Acquire Godzilla's Medallion by doing the most damage to him.
  • Hit Godzilla using a Quad Launcher or Rail Gun (10)

Although the first task is simple, the other two require waiting until Godzilla spawns in your match. You'll know Godzilla is here when you see a special portal spawn in your match. Everyone in the game will race to it, hoping to transform into this monster, allowing you to complete these quests quickly.

Place Godzilla Evacuation Shelter signs

The easiest of these three objectives is to place Godzilla evacuation signs east of Brutal Boxcars and near Canyon Crossing. These are both railway track areas you'll need to traverse and approach before placing some signs.

Fortnite evacuation sign map
Screenshot by Destructoid

Overall, this isn't too challenging to tedious outside of navigating the mountainous landscape. The main difficulty comes from avoiding or eliminating enemies that approach these spots looking to complete these same quests.

Acquire Godzilla's Medallion

Acquiring Godzilla's Medallion for Hope's quests requires a bit of luck. When you load into your Fortnite match and encounter a Godzilla portal, wait for someone else to enter it. Once someone transforms and starts rampaging, you have two options: inflict the most damage to Godzilla or wait for someone else to do it before eliminating them.

In Fortnite, whoever damages Godzilla most will receive the Medallion and the Quad Launcher. However, picking up the Medallion from another player will still count toward this quest.

Hit Godzilla using a Quad Launcher or Rail Gun

During your matches, there's a chance you'll encounter a Rail Gun as floor, chest, or player elimination loot. Your goal is to find one before Godzilla spawns, giving you only two or three minutes to get this legendary weapon.

Fortunately, Godzilla's portal also has supply crates nearby that have high odds of dropping Rail Guns and other helpful resources. Open these crates until you get a Rail Gun before attacking Godzilla with everything you've got. You'll need to hold down your attack button to charge up the weapon before activating it, sending a powerful red energy beam toward the monster. Make sure to do this at least ten times to complete the quest.

Fortnite Godzilla quest list and walkthrough

Next is Godzilla's quest list, which is all about transforming into the beast itself and devastating the map with your attacks. Below is the complete list of Godzilla quests:

  • Send opponents flying with Godzilla's Stomp (5)
  • Destroy structures using Godzilla's Heat Ray (38)
  • Roar as Godzilla

These three objectives require finding the monster's unique portal and transforming yourself into Godzilla. The portal is rare, and you're not guaranteed to see it every match. If you played previous Fortnite seasons, think of it like Doctor Doom's Island but as an early-game portal instead of a late-game isle.

Even if you get the rare opportunity to find Godzilla's portal, you also have to be the first player to enter it. When you're racing dozens of other players to it, there's a chance someone will reach it before you unless it spawned near you or you have the means to get there faster.

Once you find and enter the portal, you'll transform into the Kaiju himself, gaining access to Godzilla's three abilities until the server defeats you. You'll drop Godzilla's Medallion upon defeat, giving others a chance to get stronger before the match ends. Fortunately, as long as you have some time to run around, use some Heat Rays and give a quick roar, you can knock out all three tasks in one match.

Beasts are beginning to invade Fortnite as we're introduced to Mechagodzilla and Kong's outfits, alongside Godzilla's powers in Battle Royale mode. While these powers are free during your matches, Mechagodzilla and Kong's skins are exclusive to the item shop. Watch out, though; you don't have long to get them.

How to get Mechagodzilla and Kong outfits in Fortnite

Both the Mechagodzilla and Kong outfits are available in Fortnite's item shop from January 16 until January 24, 2025. You can either obtain both in the Mechagodzilla and Kong for 6,300 V-Bucks (2,800 on sale) or purchase each skin individually.

Here's a complete breakdown of every item in the Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle and their individual prices:

Bundle Item Price (V-Bucks)
Full Bundle 6,300 V-Bucks
(2,800 on sale)
Kong 1,500 V-Bucks
Mechagodzilla 1,800 V-Bucks
Kong's Battle Axe Pickaxe 800 V-Bucks
B.E.A.S.T. Glove Emote 400 V-Bucks
Proton Drill Pickaxe 800 V-Bucks
Cybernetic Scream Wrap 500 V-Bucks
Roar Power Wrap 500 V-Bucks
B.E.A.S.T. Armorplate Back Bling N/A
Proton Exo-Boosters Back Bling N/A

In other words, if you only want one of the skins, you can buy them separately and save yourself some V-Bucks. Otherwise, if you wish to purchase both outfits, you're better off getting the bundle for a reduced price.

Unfortunately, if you're looking for a new LEGO Fortnite outfit, you won't find one here. Mechagodzilla and Kong's outfits are compatible with Fortnite Battle Royale, Festival, and Rocket Racing, but not with LEGO. While this might change in the future, their current versions only support their full-size forms.

Mechagodzilla and Kong's skins also differ from Godzilla's regular outfits, which you can obtain in Fortnite's Battle Pass. Some items are free, while Godzilla's Evolved and Energized forms are premium rewards requiring purchasing the pass or having a Fortnite Crew subscription.

It feels good to be king, but it does feel even better to be the king of the monsters. Yes, with Godzilla having recently landed in Fortnite, many players have wondered how to play as this huge beast. First, let's discover how to find Godzilla on the map in Fortnite.

Where is Godzilla in Fortnite?

To find the king of the monsters in Fortnite, you'll have to wait for a specific portal to open. This is quite rare, as players have reported quite a low percentage of the event happening. In any case, you should be keeping an eye on the sky for any signs of unusual colors or activities, that is usually a sign that the portal will spawn soon. You will get a notification once it happens.

Some players have reported having luck between Shattered Span and Seaport City, which is the location close to where Godzilla's footprints were first spotted. But after it opens, you'd better be quick about it since only the first player to go through the Godzilla portal will actually become it. Once you reach the portal, you only need to go through it to transform.

How to reach the Godzilla portal as fast as possible

Godzilla being shot in Fortnite
Image via EpicGames

As mentioned, it is essential to be as fast as possible once you get the notification that the portal has spawned. A good strategy might be to reach a vantage point in the map so you can take a look at your surroundings and quickly reach the portal when it spawns.

Naturally, since everyone will probably start to race after it, having items that can help you is also crucial. Keep in mind that other players will be racing for the same goal. Naturally, vehicles like the Hoverboard will be essential equipment that can help you, but also weapons that can be used for dash attacks, like the Kinetic Blade can give you some much-needed speed boosts.

What are Godzilla's powers?

If you are the lucky player to have the chance to transform into the King of the Monsters, you can use three main abilities to defend yourself from the other players. Here are the current abilities that can be used as Godzilla in Fortnite Chapter 6:

  • Roar: this mighty call will let Godzilla see nearby players.
  • Mighty Stomp Attack: Godzilla brings down its huge paw and makes nearby players fly away, dealing quite a lot of damage.
  • Heat-Ray: by firing a laser ray from its eyes, the huge beast can burn through and easily destroy players and structures.

This doesn't mean that Godzilla can be left alone to fight, it will still need the help of its teammates since the other players can still attack the huge beast. The beast's weak spots can be targeted for extra damage, plus players are able to grab Godzilla’s fragments. These restore 40 Health points and also give three dash charges.

There's nothing more satisfying than stomping around your Fortnite matches as a massive, scary monster and getting an easy Victory Royale. At least, it can be easy if you get your hands on Godzilla's transformation. Here's how to stomp, roar, and use Heat Ray as Godzilla in Fortnite.

How to become Godzilla in Fortnite

Before you can use these powers, you'll first have to transform into Godzilla by entering a special portal that can spawn at the beginning of your Fortnite matches. This portal has a low chance of appearing before the first storm circle forms, letting you leave and rejoin lobbies until it activates.

You'll know it's spawning when you see a "Godzilla Portal is Open" security alert message on your screen. If you don't see this around two minutes after the match starts, you're free to leave and try another game if you wish.

The second challenge is being the first person to enter this portal. Your odds are low if you're on one side of the map and the portal is on the opposite side. However, if you get lucky and appear right next to it, you may get the chance to transform into the almighty Godzilla during the match.

How to stomp, roar, and use Heat Ray as Godzilla

Once you transform into Godzilla, you'll immediately reappear on the map as this massive monster and wreak havoc on anything you encounter. You'll also gain access to Godzilla's stomp, roar, and heat ray, which you can activate using the following buttons:

  • Stomp: Right click (PC) or L1/LT (Controller)
  • Roar: Space (PC) or X/A (Controller)
  • Heat Ray: Left click (PC) or R1/RT (Controller)

You'll also find the button prompts on your screen in the bottom-right corner for mobile or other platforms. They have short to no cooldowns, giving you free rein to blast through and stomp as often as possible. These abilities help you eliminate enemies and help you with Godzilla's quests, so be sure to learn them quickly.

After investigating Godzilla's whereabouts for some time, this ferocious monster has officially entered Fortnite. Rather than becoming a powerful boss to defeat, you can transform into Godzilla, allowing you to wreak havoc on the world and its inhabitants. Here's how to go from a regular player into Fortnite's latest world boss.

How to become Godzilla in Fortnite

Becoming Godzilla in Fortnite requires being the first person to jump through a rare transformation portal. During your matches, there's a rare chance a special portal will spawn. The first person to jump into the portal will transform into Godzilla, giving you full access to its abilities and an increased health pool.

Upon transforming into Godzilla, you'll receive the following abilities:

  • Roar: Reveal nearby players.
  • Stomp Attack: Damage and knockback nearby players.
  • Heat Ray: Damage players in a line where you're aiming.

Aside from defeating other players and getting a massive buff to your character, becoming Godzilla also benefits you if you're attempting to complete the event's limited-time quests. Several objectives as you to send opponents flying with Godzilla's stomp, destroy structures with your heat ray, or roar a few times. If you want some account XP for more Battle Pass rewards, transforming into this monster is the way to go.

How to defeat Godzilla in Fortnite

If you spot Godzilla during your matches, that means someone beat you to the transformation portal. Although they'll appear like a massive world boss, they're not invincible. If anything, it's easier to defeat them than you'd expect.

The best weapon to use against Godzilla is the unvaulted Rail Gun. It's by far the most effective weapon, considering Godzilla's size, and it'll help you advance through various limited-time quests, such as knocking out two birds with one stone.

Having top damage on Godzilla when defeated will grant you the Burst Quad Launcher and the Godzilla Medallion, granting you three recharging dashes that make it easier to traverse the map.

After several weeks of exploring Fortnite's Chapter Six, Season One map and seeing signs of Godzilla entering the playing field, we're at least ready to continue Kendo's storyline with the Splinters of Possibility quest. Demons are still invading the world, but we're closer to resolving this crisis.

Before beginning, you may not see the Splinters of Possibility story in your Quests menu. Although this makes tracking your quests much more difficult, it is only a visual bug, letting you finish each objective as long as you watch your progress in the top left corner of your screen.

Fortnite Splinters of Possibility quest walkthrough

Fortnite's Splinters of Possibility quest is a six-part series where you'll approach Kendo again to discuss the current situation, including an incoming comet. He believes the comet is the secret to freeing Jade and asks you to investigate further, leading to a lengthy journey of collecting demonic masks and magical splinter shards.

Stage One

The first stage of Fortnite's Splinters of Possibility quest series is to speak to Kendo about Hope. Like the previous Kendo's Calling and Jade & the Mask stories, he'll wander around the portal east of Twinkle Terrace, fighting nearby demons and awaiting your arrival. Talk to him to move on to the quest's second stage.

Stage Two

After speaking to Kendo, your next objective is to place spirit charms to investigate the comet's crater. Fortunately, you won't have to travel far, as your first Spirit Charm location is directly north of Kendo's portal, across the bridge. From here, you'll find two others east of Twinkle Terrace.

Screenshot by Destructoid

If you're missing the Splinters of Possibility list in your quest menu, you'll find white exclamation mark icons on your map as you approach Twinkle Terrace. That way, you can easily find the Spirit Charm locations without tracking the quest itself.

Stage Three

Stage three of Splinters of Possibility is the first of several two-part quests in this series. Your first goal is to use a Fire Oni or Void Oni mask, depending on the time of day. There are several ways to get these masks, from player elimination drops to chest and floor loot. If you want them quickly and easily, you can visit the underground tunnels in Masked Meadows for a guaranteed spawn of both masks. From here, you can use whichever applies to your match's time of day to knock out this part.

After using the masks, you'll have another stage three task of collecting a meteor splinter. You'll find your first one in the center of Shogun's Solitude. Although you'll have more to do later, you only have to worry about this one for now.

Stage Four

With the meteor splinter collected, it's time to head back to Nightshift Forest. These three riddles consist of statues that tell you a riddle, with three dialogue options you pick through. The statue will make fun of you if your answer is wrong, but beyond this, there aren't any negative consequences aside from higher odds of a player coming up and eliminating you.

Screenshot by Destructoid

That said, below are the answers for each riddle:

  • "I sing without voice, I glow without flame. To those who find me, the prize is the same."

    • Treasure Chest

  • "I stay by your side, trusty and true. In chaos or calm, I'll clear your view."

    • Pickaxe

  • "I soar through the skies graceful and light, yet I am gone with the ground in sight."

    • Glider

Finishing all three riddles grants you access to the second meteor splinter within the ruins of Nightshift Forest's center.

Stage Five

Now that we've ventured into the forest and answered a few riddles, it's time to hunt some demons. Our next goal is to acquire a map from a defeated demon warrior, who you'll find around Fortnite's map. In particular, they spawn near portals within landmarks like Loot Lake, Flooded Frogs, and Shogun's Solitude. You'll know one is active if your map has a shogun mask icon.

That said, below is a map of every Demon portal that can become active:

The Fortnite map with markers for all the demon spawn locations.
Screenshot by Destructoid

Once you approach a landmark with an active portal, defeat the demons that spawn until one drops a map. Picking it up reveals the third meteor splinter location in the center of a hedge maze south of Masked Meadows.

Stage Six

Your final goal during the Splinters of Possibility quest series is to travel to Demon's Dojo and place all three meteor splinters in a Spirit Forge. The forge will appear as a small grey and pink box under a bridge with a white exclamation mark icon above it. Place all three splinters in to forge the Splinter Blades before delivering them to The Night Rose.

There's only one problem: The Night Rose is an aggressive boss who'll attack you on sight. You'll first have to defeat her and her puppeteer to save her, lifting her curse and turning her into an NPC you can interact with. Give her the Splinter Blades to complete the Splinters of Possibility quest.

The King of Kaijus, Godzilla, is now present in the colorful realms of Fortnite, and you can unlock it to cause waves of radioactive destruction on your enemies.

The Kaiju is one of many recent additions that have appeared in the game, and like previous collaborations, it's part of the battle pass. The latest launch adds to the long list of special collaborations Epic Games has made with their battle royale. Let's take a look at how you can obtain this special skin and if it involves any microtransactions.

How to get the Godzilla skin in Fortnite

Godzilla's two outfits are part of Chapter Six, Season One's Battle Pass. While the first half of the season had a completely different reward set, the January 14 update introduced Godzilla's section, which will unlock starting on January 17, 2025. However, you'll first need to own the Battle Pass, which costs 1,000 V-Bucks to unlock or the Fortnite Crew monthly subscription.

Upon buying the pass and waiting until January 17, you'll need to level up enough to reach its sixth and twelfth tiers. From here, you'll unlock the following skins:

  • Godzilla Evolved
  • Energized Godzilla

This season, the pass has been completely revamped, and the format of the rewards has been altered. To find Godzilla's skins easier, head into Passes and click Battle Pass to find Godzilla Rewards as the last option.

Having the pass won't be enough, as you'll need to wait for the correct date in order to unlock the skin. On January 17, you will be able to unlock the King of Monsters, and more rewards that are part of the pass. Additionally, you'll also need to complete the quests in order to play with the skin.

https://twitter.com/gwrldmedia/status/1863197151913795757

These missions are part of Godzilla's Monsterverse series, which you'll find in your quest list during the January 14 update and beyond. They start with Nyanja's objectives of investigating Godzilla's whereabouts before leading into Hope and Godzilla's parts. It will be mandatory for you to complete all these missions if you want to get the Godzilla skin to use in Fortnite.

In short, Godzilla's two skins will initially be exclusive to the Season Pass. However, Epic has made older skins available in the in-game store that were once exclusive to Season Passes. If that happens in the future, it will be great for those who might not be able to afford the pass at the moment.

Hatsune Miku has officially made her way into Fortnite. Whether you're a long-time Vocaloid fan or have never heard of it, her appearance in the game also introduces a Music Pass, the first sightings of Godzilla, and plenty more. Here's how to get your hands on Hatsune Miku's latest outfits.

How to unlock the Hatsune Miku outfit in Fortnite

Hatsune Miku's two outfits are available as part of Fortnite's Music Pass from January 14 to April 8, 2025 and in the item shop. Your first option is the regular Hatsune Miku skin available in the item shop for 1,500 V-Bucks.

You can also go for Hatsune Miku's bundle. Its normal cost is 5,200, with a temporary sale dropping it to 3,200 V-Bucks. The bundle features the following items:

  • Hatsune Miku outfit
  • Pack-sune Miku Back Bling
  • Miku Live emote
  • Miku Miku Beam emote
  • Miku Light Contrail
  • Miku's Beat Drums
  • Hatsune's Mic-u Microphone
  • Anamanaguchi, Hatsune Miku - Miku Jam Track

Another option is buying Fortnite's Music Pass. The music pass behaves similarly to a Battle Pass, requiring 1,400 V-Bucks to buy and levels to earn rewards. It is also seasonal, so any passes you purchased in previous seasons won't apply here.

In the music pass, you'll automatically receive the base Neko Hatsune Miku skin, with another version at the end of the pass. In short, you only need to buy it to get the first outfit, but obtaining both will take some grinding.

How to find and unlock the Fortnite Music Pass

You can find Fortnite's Music Pass by selecting the passes tab in your main menu, picking Music Pass, and pressing the Get Music Pass button. Here, you'll see two options: using Fortnite Crew or buying the Music Pass as a standalone offer for 1,400 V-Bucks.

Alternatively, you can buy the Fortnite Crew monthly subscription to access every pass introduced into the game. While this usually only includes the Battle Pass and some V-Bucks, it'll now include the Music Pass alongside OG, LEGO, and Rocket passes for other game modes.

All Music Pass Rewards

Hatsune Miku outfits aren't the only features of this particular pass. Here's the complete list of every reward you can get from Fortnite's Season 7 Music Pass:

  • Neko Hatsune Miku Style One
  • Miku Speaker emote
  • Cherry Cordial Jam Track
  • Sparklescent aura

Fortnite's first season was full of peculiar locations, from developed areas like Dusty Depot and Flush Factory to more natural spots like Moisty Mire. During Fortnite OG's greatest hits playlist, you'll relive some old memories (or make new ones) by visiting these locations, with Flush Factory having some mysterious missing portraits to collect.

Flush Factory missing portrait locations in Fortnite OG

You'll find both missing portraits in Flush Factory, a point of interest along the southern part of the island. You'll spot this landmark west of Fatal Fields and southeast of Greasy Grove. Since it's so far from everything else, your best bet is to drop from the Battle Bus directly to this spot before searching the factory building for the portraits.

Upon landing in Flush Factory, you may notice small white exclamation mark icons indicating the location of each portrait. They'll only appear if you get close, though, so you may have to run around a bit until you spot them.

The first missing portrait is stuck on top of a toilet lid in the bottom left part of the factory. You can access this spot by passing through the main factory area with the toilet conveyors until you find several half-assembled toilets on the ground and the portrait next to them.

The second missing portrait is in the bottom right part of Flush Factory, next to a massive green generator. If you're at the first location, head east through the factory and past the metal fences until you enter a small area with various wooden crates and the generator. You'll find the portrait inside a turtle object.

The Lost Isles harnesses many unique characters that can either be dangerous or friendly. Of all of them, Haven is one of the most helpful allies to set you on the best path. Here's how to find Haven in LEGO Fortnite.

Where to find Haven in LEGO Fortnite

Speaking to Haven
Screenshot by Destructoid

You can find Haven by upgrading your Lost Isle village to Level 2 or creating a new world in LEGO Fortnite. Use the second option to fast-travel to the Lost Island for a quick and easy route. Select Cozy or Survival when setting up a world; this will keep frustration to a minimum as you make your way through the tutorial

Haven is one of the many random NPCs who might grace your village when you lay down a Village Square. Unfortunately, she shows up randomly, so you might have to do this a few times before she graces you with her presence.

Those who don't want to start a new file can use the Bus Station's fast-travel to reach Lost Isles. You can make your way there on foot, but it's a lot easier to Build a base there and upgrade it to trigger Haven's appearance. If she doesn't show up, try leveling it up again. Hopefully, she'll spawn near the village before too long.

Once you speak to Haven for the first time, she'll ask if you can fix the village up so she can stay there. Upgrade your Village Level to meet her requirements, and she'll decide to stick around. Haven will enlist you in a few more tasks to better acquaint you with Lost Isles, including how to get the new Mahogany Wood. You can also claim rewards from the Best Friend Klombo task, earning you Studs for the Tropical Treasures LEGO Pass.

How to tame a Klombo in LEGO Fortnite

Once you've completed the Talk to Haven quest, you'll unlock the Tame a Klombo objective. To complete this task, head to the Jungle and give Klomberries to the Klombo to gain its trust.

Klomberries are relatively easy to find, especially if you're at Haven's Village. Just be on the lookout for some light blue berries and save some for the Klombo. After you've tamed it, you can start riding it to travel across the Lost Isles.

Fortnite's Wintervestigation quest series is finally wrapping up, with Noir telling you about one last case leading you to confront Sgt. Winter himself. Before meeting Sgt. Winter, you'll need to search for some secret files that are part of his Naughty or Nice list.

Sgt. Winter Naughty or Nice list secret file location in Fortnite

You can find the secret files for Sgt. Winter's Naughty or Nice list in a tunnel along Foxy Floodgate's massive dam. As you reach this landmark, head up the zipline that connects the bottom of the dam to the road and stop around halfway. You'll spot several openings to the tunnel, with one entrance having a gingerbread cookie in front of it.

Once you arrive at this spot, use your pickaxe to break open the tunnel before entering. You'll spot three exclamation mark icons on top of various filing cabinets, one of which has Sgt. Winter's Naughty or Nice list.

There's a chance you'll run into the same bug I did where the filing cabinets appear invisible. Don't worry if this happens, as you can still interact with them as long as you hover over their general location.

You'll also need to watch out for other players as you visit Foxy Floodgate, climb the dam, and examine the secret files. Make sure to have a weapon on hand in case someone arrives before or after you so you can swiftly eliminate them and move on with your quest.

Once you interact with the filing cabinets and the Naughty or Nice list, you'll be ready to confront Sgt. Winter once and for all. You'll spot him just south of Foxy Floodgate at an unnamed location, giving you a bit of a trek before completing this final Wintervestigation quest. Like before, other players can attack you anytime, so watch your surroundings as you travel to these spots.

Fortnite isn't just the biggest game in the world — it's an unstoppable property seemingly hellbent on bringing every other famous property into its fold in interesting ways. We've had trailer reveals hosted by Palpatine himself, a huge concert by Travis Scott, and we've recently witnessed the live defrosting of Mariah Carey. Those blockbuster events are great and bizarre in an awesome way, but so are many of the regular skins and collabs we see in Fortnite. Let's look at the wildest of the bunch.

Image via Epic Games

10. Peely

Maybe it's the dead black eyes. Maybe it's the tiny smile, or the strange bootheels. Perhaps it's the slightly peeled-off skin on the upper part of the head. Peely suffers from Teletubbyism, an affliction that causes creatures to look cute on first glance but more and more off the longer you stare at them.

So many parents only look at the stuff their kids love once, so Peely passes the parental test. After looking at it like five times, however, there was no doubt in my mind Peely was designed to visit players in their nightmares long after their games had concluded.

And, the best part is that this is not even Peely's final form.

Juice World's Fortnite Skin
Screenshot by Destructoid

9. Juice WRLD

Unlike most skins on this list, Juice WRLD's skin looks fine. Juice was a handsome dude, and the problem resides in the "was" part. Juice has sadly passed away at a very young age in a rather tragic way, so I just can't help but to think this skin shouldn't exist in this game. Though it looks genuinely cool, this is the only "weird" skin in the game I just cannot approve of.

Pretty much any way you can think of to honor a deceased person is better than creating an avatar of them you can kill again till the end of time.

Fabio Sparklemane on Fortnite
Image via Epic Games

8. Fabio Sparklemane

Maybe it's the Internet, but anthropomorphized cats, dogs, and bears all work surprisingly well on most games. Still, there's something about a horse that stands on two legs and contends for the Victory Royale that just feels too out there. Is it because his hooves would never be able to reach the trigger of any of the guns in the game? Or is it because he might have been named after Fabio, a man and meme so good looking he once accidentally mesmerized a bird that flew straight into his face and exploded while the man was enjoying a supposedly peaceful rollercoaster ride.

The Brat on Fortnite
Image via Epic Games

7. The Brat

Out of all the weird Fortnite skins out there, the Brat is easily the funniest. It's a case of the more you look at it, the funnier he gets. Unlike Meowscles, who clearly has the body of a (very fit) human, The Brat is a hot dog through and through. His chest is a sausage, he wears a bun as a coat, his chest hair is a squiggle of mustard, and his arms are strings of sausage.

Also, unlike most of the other peculiar Fortnite skins, The Brat is 100% cool, 0% creepy — so long as you ignore his incriminating necklace made of baby sausages.

Fishstick's many skins
Image via Epic Games

6. Fishstick

A very interesting play on the name, Fishstick is a fish head on a very skinny anthropomorphized human body. This thing has some whacky bulging eyes and a near-permanent smile on his face. He looks harmless, but there's no better remorseless killing machine than a creature who loses all recollection of their crimes every five seconds.

I was trying to think of a Fishstick skin to crown as the weirdest of the weird, but it's just too hard. I guess the suit one edges out the other ones for its impersonal murderer vibes, if only for just a little bit.

Meowdas on Fortnite.
Image via Epic Games

5. Meowdas

Meowdas is the weirdest variation of the original Meowscles skin, which was already one of the strangest skins in the game.

Meowscles is a buff and conveniently shirtless human body with the face of a cartoon cat. It's the kind of thing that the Internet loves, and thus something you probably should never confess your love for in the real world. Meowdas is a combination between Meowscles and Midas, and the result is not a cute buff anthropomorphized cat, but something that goes for both cute and edgy all the while being an anthropomorphized cat.

The Beef Boss from Fortnite
Image via Epic Games

4. Beef Boss

Do you love the weird McDonald's lore, but feel like its characters could still stand to be a bit more bizarre? Then Beef Boss is just the skin for you.

Forget human-shaped cats. For all I know, Beef Boss could just be a regular man wearing a highly impractical burger-shaped helmet, but, if there's any consistency to the world of Fortnite, then that's a sentient burger who grew arms and legs just so he could kill hundreds of people, and that's quite something.

Peely Bone in Fortnite

3. Peely Bone

Players quickly complained that the original Peely looked creepy as hell — or maybe they didn't, but I sure did — and I admit to my mistake. The adverse reaction to the cute monstrosity created something even worse. Ever wondered what Peely looked like on the inside? Was he all banana? Welp, it turns out Peely is banana on the outside, manana on the inside. Unlike the original Peely, which is just sneakily frightening, is full on creepy.

I'm sorry for all the nightmares this thing sure must have caused, but I'm just so glad a major game — a cutesy looking one, at that — had the guts to, well, show Peely's guts.

2. Mariah Carey

Yes, I'm afraid I am not joking.

This one is especially great because it carries the immense weight of Internet history. Mariah Carey started off as one of the most popular pop stars in the world, then became meme because of a legendary localization of her song "Without you" in the Bulgarian version of American Idol, where it infamously became "Ken Lee". That would've been more than enough for a fulfilling career, but then Carey morphed into another, larger, meme.

Carey recently went on from being a massive superstar to a creature that the legend told spent most of the year in a cryogenic chamber only to be de-frozen during Christmas to play "All I want for Christmas is you". Very funny, for the year when the meme originated, at least. It didn't stop there, however. The meme got so popular that this year Carey became not only a skin on Fortnite, but even allowed you to see the block of ice imprisoning her shattering in game live. Weirdest of all? The Mariah Carey skin is something you can play as throughout the whole year.

1. Skibidi Toilet Back Bling

Who wouldn't want to wear a human head inhabiting inside a toilet as a backpack? The Skibidi Toilet Back Bling isn't just one of the most visually odd cosmetics in a game, it's also one that seems to bend all human-made rules.

Fortnite belongs to Epic Games, whereas Skibidi Toilet, though now a registered trademark with its own toy line and attempted movie or tv in the works, is something that came out of Half-Life 2 mods. Valve seems pretty chill about all this, but the company could have very well raised some issues with the usage of what are basically Half-Life 2 assets by the biggest game from the competition.

Skibidi Toilet is no stranger to litigation, as the IP owners nearly went into battle against Garry’s Mod, the Half-Life 2 game responsible for its creation. Weirdly enough, Valve also had nothing to do with any of that. That’s just a taste of how strange reality gets under the shadow of Skibidi Toilet.

Winterfest 2024 brings a host of different activities for Fortnite players, and the Wintervestigation event is certainly among the coolest content that you can explore.

The first three set of quests is pretty simple, and they're more or less self-explanatory. The next chapter begins with the launch of Case No. 45. The new quests will be available on December 26, and you'll be able to complete them to quicken your battle pass completion.

In the meantime, make sure to check out the complete list of Winterfest gifts. You can get a piece daily, with the Yulejacket skin being my favorite.

Fortnite's weekly quests cover a massive range of activities, from collecting particular weapon types to visiting and destroying structures. Occasionally, the tasks get even more specific, with objectives like hitting demons with vehicles appearing with their respective XP rewards.

How to find a vehicle in Fortnite

Finding a vehicle in Fortnite is easy, as they appear all around the map, including in nearly every major landmark. Most landmarks have at least one, with nearby POIs and unmarked locations also having car spawns. If you're lucky, you may even find a vehicle or two along the side of a road.

Fortnite features multiple vehicle types, ranging from the speedy Whiplash car to motorcycles. For the sake of this weekly quest, it doesn't matter which one you use as long as you grab any vehicle type and hit a few demons.

How to find demons in Fortnite

Now for the challenging part: finding demons to hit with your newly acquired vehicle. During your matches, you'll find small samurai mask icons on your map, indicating the locations of demon groups. There are seven predetermined spawns, with each game randomly choosing between three.

The Fortnite map with markers for all the demon spawn locations.

By visiting these samurai masks, you'll find a portal and three demons patrolling the area. Hitting all three once will give you three points toward the objective, allowing you to turn around quickly, repeat it once, and finish your weekly quest. They'll only turn hostile with the first hit, so you can take some time to aim your drive. Just be careful of nearby players who are also looking to complete this objective.

You can also find a larger samurai mask icon representing a mini-boss spawn. If you're near one of these, you can quickly run over and hit the boss a few times with your car. You're not required to do this, but it's a solid alternative if you suspect other players have beaten you to the portals.

There are many unique prizes to behold in Fortnite Winterfest, from emotes to musical instruments. But, like most events, the most sought-after items always come down to skins, a prized possession that often requires a premium purchase.

Fortunately, Winterfest gives you the chance to get skins for free, and we'll show you which presents include them in Fortnite.

Where to find Fortnite present skin in Winterfest 2024

After you've entered the Lodge through the snowflake interaction, you'll encounter a stack of gifts on the left and right sides for Winterfest 2024. Two skins can be found in the long green present with the red bow and a small gold present with a red bow. However, the small golden gift won't be available until Dec. 25, so you must wait before then.

The green gift allows you to open it after you've unwrapped all the other presents. You may have noticed that when you select this box, it will trigger the prompt, "Save for Last!," hinting at its special requirement. Check back on this present once you've claimed the others, and it'll land you the exclusive Yulejacket Outfit.

If you want a sneak peek into the gold gift, it'll provide you with the Santa Dogg Outfit. Using other cosmetics in this bundle, you can completely deck yourself out with this skin. In particular, opening the purple present with a silver bow gets you Snoop's Back Bling, while the yellow box with a green bow offers Snoop's Guitar. Try to open these gifts before Santa Dogg Outfit's arrival to get the full package.

Remember, Fortnite Winterfest is a time-limited event, running only until Jan. 7, 2024. To make the most of it, it's crucial to check in daily to earn all presents. Don't forget to also get cozy by the Yule log to earn free Supercharged XP. This commitment will ensure you don't miss out on any rewards. And even if you do miss out, there's still hope, as the rewards may become available in the Shop later on.

Snoop Dogg has been dominating the Fortnite space for a hot minute, being part of two major events. He’s now back for the Winterfest event, adding much-needed holiday joy. So, if you want to get your hands on a free Snoop Dogg skin in Fortnite, check below.

How to get the free Snoop Dogg skin in Fortnite

To get the free Snoop Dogg skin in Fortnite, you have to open the gifts in the Winterfest Lodge area from the main menu. One of the gifts will contain the Santa Dogg outfit, which is Snoop Dogg dressed up in a Santa outfit.

Unfortunately, the skin is not available at this time. There are other gifts you can open to get free holiday-themed items usable in the Battle Royale and other modes.

This skin is separate from all the other skins Snoop Dogg has had so far. Those include the ones from the Music Pass and other collab skins previously made available in the market. Those are not included in the free Christmas event.

Since the event runs until January 7, 2025, he will be made available sometime before this concludes. Just log in every day and open the gifts left for you here.

Eventually, there will be more gifts. As time progresses, more will show up, but have not been fully added into the game just yet. You don’t even need to actively play to be eligible to open these either.

These are all pre-determined gifts from various NPCs in the game. Even that big Yulejacket gift on the left is pre-determined to be the other free skin.

We’ll be sure to let you know when Snoop’s gift is made available. For now, enjoy the other freebies and festivities during the event.

The Fortnite Winterfest 2024 began as scheduled on December 20, and it brings a whole bunch of rewards for the players, including the Yulejacket skin.

The festive season has finally arrived, and players can finally open the colorful gifts that can be found at the Cabin. It was already confirmed that the gifting season will be back once again, and the Yulejacket skin is certainly the top draw in my books. As things stand, this skin might test your patience if you want to get it on day one of the fest.

How to find the Yulejacket skin in Fortnite

The Yulejacket skin is part of the Winterfest 2024 offerings, so you won't have to spend any resources. It's situated in one of the many colored boxes that can be found at the Cabin. You can access the location from the main menu itself (look for the special icon at the top of your home screen).

It was already rumored there would be 14 different gifts, and that appears to be the case once again. If you believe in rumors, the Yulejacket skin is in the Green box with the Red Bow box (one of the two largest boxes).

Fortnite Winterfest Yuletide rewards
Image via Destructoid

It appears that if you try to open the box on the very first day, you can't. Once you pick it, you will see that the box is saved for the last day. In all likelihood, this is indeed the box from where you might get the Yulejacket skin.

All the other boxes I picked can be immediately opened, which makes it clearer about where the skin is. In fact, Yulejacket is the only skin that's part of the Fortnite Winterfest 2024 offerings, which makes sense for Epic to lock it behind a type of advent calendar.

Nevertheless, there are still some really fun rewards you can unlock in the meantime. You can open one box daily, and they will feature random rewards ranging from Pickaxe to Emotes. Make sure to log in to the game every day so that you can unbox a present in the Cabin every day.

The first quest to kick off the Fortnite Winterfest event has you tracking down Sgt. Winter and speaking to him. With the map and NPC locations changing with Winterfest, he can be tricky to find. Here is how to find Sgt. Winter in the Winterfest event in Fortnite and complete the quest.

Where to find Sgt. Winter in Fortnite Winterfest event

Where to find Sgt. Winter in Fortnite Winterfest event

You can find Sgt. Winter standing around at the crashed airplane located in the snowy mountains just south of the center of the map. If you look at the map above, we've circled the area in red for you. There is no marked location near Sgt. Winter, but it's south of Foxy Floodgate across the frozen lake, and northwest of Masked Meadows.

Once you land at the crashed plane, you'll immediately see Sgt. Winter standing near the front of the plane. Speak to him to complete your first quest for the Winterfest event!

Be aware that a lot of people are dropping here either to do this first quest, or to get some easy kills by taking out those doing the quest. Just make sure you drop close to Sgt. Winters and immediately speak to him to complete the quest before someone wipes you out.

Another option is to land just outside of the area where Sgt. Winter is, wait for a minute or two, then go in and speak to him. The next quest has you speaking to Noir on the top floor of a building in Seaport City, so it too will require dealing with a high-activity drop area.

As with most quests in Fortnite, you can also open your Quests window and click on the Case Assignment for Sgt. Winter to get a marker placed on your map that indicates where Sgt. Winter can be found.

How to fix the no present bug in Fortnite Winterfest https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-fix-the-no-present-bug-in-fortnite-winterfest/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-fix-the-no-present-bug-in-fortnite-winterfest https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-fix-the-no-present-bug-in-fortnite-winterfest/#respond Fri, 20 Dec 2024 20:39:13 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=983126 How to fix no present bug in Fortnite Winterfest

The annual Fortnite Winterfest is here, bringing holiday-themed events, quests, and most importantly, presents. However, some users have reported not being able to see or get any presents from the Fortnite Winterfest event. Here's some solutions on how to fix the no present bug in Fortnite Winterfest and start earning presents for the event.

How to fix no presents in Fortnite Winterfest
Screenshot by Destructoid

How to fix no presents in Fortnite Winterfest

For most players, the no present bug in Fortnite Winterfest is actually just a visual bug that occurs because Fortnite will only show so many quests for each game mode. Therefore, you should switch game modes to get the game to force the Daily Gifts present popup to trigger. This means if you are on build mode, try switching to zero build, and vice versa. This fixes the no present bug issue for most players.

However, if you're still having the bug, or you were able to get to the present screen in the lodge but it says you have none when you should, there are some more things you can try:

  • Make sure the Fortnite servers aren't having problems. If the servers are down or congested from a lot of players jumping in right when they come online, it can lag out the presents. In this case, just try again later.
  • Double check your own internet connection. If your internet connection is dropping or unstable it can also make the presents not load. If you are on a wireless connection, try switching to a more stable wired one.
  • Check your Fortnite version. The easiest way to do this fix is to simply restart your game which should trigger the latest update to start downloading. If you're not on the most up-to-date version, new features like the presents will not work.

Keep in mind you will receive one new preset per day, so if you've already opened todays, you have to wait until reset you obtain your next one.

The best Switch multiplayer games excel at bringing friends and family from all gaming backgrounds together. Whether you're competing for glory in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or making jokes in any given Jackbox Party Pack, there are a lot of Switch multiplayer games to play. Here are the best Switch multiplayer games on the Switch: just keep in mind a few of them require a Switch Online subscription!

20. Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival simulates the famous Japanese drum instrument and lets you go bananas with the Joycon or a specific taiko controller (if you have the money for it). You're drumming with the left and right Joycon to the beat, in a frantic manner, to familiar songs like Undertale's "Megalovania," Frozen 2's "Into the Unknown," and even the Super Mario Bros. theme. You can expect some classical music and J-pop in the mix as well. If you've played the Donkey Konga series from the GameCube, it's somewhat similar.

19. Just Dance 2025

This is arguably the most accessible party game for anyone on the Nintendo Switch. All you have to do is pick up a controller (you can even use your mobile phone) and dance like the coaches on screen. While the songlist isn't as varied as it could be, Just Dance 2025 has a selection of fun songs to dance to, including Lady Gaga's "Pokerface," Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso," and Madonna's "Vogue." Most of the choreography is easy to understand and follow, giving plenty of thrills for the whole family. The visuals of each dance set pop on screen, and Ubisoft ups the ante in this retrospect.

18. Golf with Your Friends

Golf with Your Friends is like mini-golf but elevated in the video game space. The courses have wild elements to them, such as flowing rivers, explosive bombs, and factory machinery that get in the way of your hole-in-one. You can also bounce the balls, leading the way to creative shots towards the end post. There are many different courses to choose from, and they're each very fun with friends online around the world or on the couch. I can't count the number of times I've laughed while playing Golf with Your Friends. The game has a Very Positive score from over 43,000 players on PC platform Steam.

17. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge

As a spiritual successor to the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles beat-em-ups of the 90s, Shredder's Revenge is totally radical. This game is so much fun with friends as you take down enemies together in classic arcade-style action. You can have six people on the screen at once, and it supports online multiplayer if you don't have your friends on the couch. The retro pixel-style graphics are gorgeous on-screen, and TMNT fans can see all manner of references to the universe in-game. This game is an absolute delight, especially if you like beat-em-ups like Turtles in Time and The Simpsons Arcade back in the day.

"TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge delivers exactly what one expects," said our review. "It’s a great-looking, great-sounding, and great-playing love letter to one of the most beloved franchises of all time."

16. Fall Guys

Fall Guys is a fun party game battle royale that has you running as silly bean guys running through obstacles. As each round passes, you're trying to be one of the last players to progress to the last mini-game and race to win the crown. Most of the mini-games that developer Mediatonic has made are genius and push your platforming, reflexes, and puzzle skills to the test. It's immensely fun with friends as you try to outdo each other in this silly battle royale. It used to be a paid experience, but Fall Guys is now a free-to-play game.

15. Tetris 99

Tetris 99 is the perfect marriage between the puzzle genre and the popular battle royale format. You're trying to be the last to survive against players who stack blocks on your screen as they impact your gameplay. It gets exciting as the gameplay speeds up and more players get eliminated. It's super intense when you're in the last five players in the pool. If you succeed in the game, you can get different themes with the in-game currency. There have been themes based on the Pokémon series, Xenoblade Chronicles, and more. You can check out Tetris 99 for free with any Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is a great co-op game

14. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is one of the best 2D platformers of the last decade. It has wonderfully creative levels across the jungle and frozen environments that Donkey Kong and crew have to deal with. It also has fun segments with mine carts on a dangerous track! There's also something really entertaining about being shot from a barrel cannon at high speeds. The platforming feels solid, as you'd expect from a Nintendo game, and the environments are brimming with color and detail.

"It’s an incredibly crafted platformer with an HD sheen and an insane attention to detail, and any fan of the genre owes it to themselves to experience it," said our 10/10 review.

This is a game that came just at the right time as it cooled down many gamers in a stressful situation. However, it's still fun to this day.

Rocket League is a great multiplayer Switch game

12. Rocket League

Football + cars is a simple concept, but it works incredibly well. Now available as a free-to-play title, you can use fast cars to shoot balls or stop a shot from getting in the net. There are also a ton of adjustments you can make to the car, like the patterns, flag, body shape, and paint of your vehicle, to make it stand out among the crowd. There are micro-transaction elements to be aware of, but you don't need to spend a penny to enjoy the intense sports action of Rocket League.

Minecraft is a great multiplayer game for Switch.

11. Minecraft

There's a reason why Minecraft is so popular, despite the fact that many popular content creators are still making videos about it more than a decade later. Building a home or even a grand statue with your pals is a wonderful premise. You can also adventure through caves, get precious resources, and then escape the various scary enemies who stand in your path. The Creeper will get you eventually. It's also a relaxing game to partake with a calming soundtrack and strangely blocky yet gorgeous views of the world around you.

Runbow Switch

10. Runbow

Runbow is a hidden gem to the nth degree.

This party-platforming hybrid has you trying to survive quick platforming levels that constantly fluctuate. Nine players compete to be the first one to the flag at the end, and the wild, colorful visuals truly pull you into the game. In fact, the platforms camouflage and blend with the constantly switching colors and disappear, adding an extra amount of challenge. While playing Runbow at an Extra Life event, I was shocked to pass through a tough section, getting so much fun from the chaotic nature of the game. This is a surprisingly entertaining Switch multiplayer game that you should pick up.

Nintendo Switch Sports best Switch multiplayer games

9. Nintendo Switch Sports

Nintendo Switch Sports does what it says on the tin. Like Wii Sports, you get a bunch of entertaining physical recreation activities to play. The Joy-Con does a great job of replicating the Wii remote, but unlike Wii Sports, this game supports online play, adding more replayability. You can compete to be the very best and unlock new costumes for your characters along the way.

You can play badminton, golf, soccer (football), volleyball, and bowling, and one of my personal favourites is Chambara. Read our review of the game if you aren't sold yet!

Ultimate Chicken Horse Switch

8. Ultimate Chicken Horse

I've never laughed so hard at a game beyond Ultimate Chicken Horse. The goal is simple: You need to head to the exit of the level. However, with each passing turn, you place obstacles in the way.

The action gets chaotic as rotating spikes are stuck to honey, and pucks fly towards you at lightning speed. The fun revolves around the idea of making the level as difficult as possible for your rivals, but at the same time, easy enough to finish the stage. It can get so intense that your jaw drops.

Splatoon 3 multiplayer

7. Splatoon 3

One of the best Switch multiplayer games is Splatoon 3. The goal is to cover each area with as much ink as possible. If your team expands its ink more than the other, you win. That's it! Kinda.

You're using all manner of different weapons like a bow and arrow, a paint roller, and even katanas to win. The clothes you unlock throughout the game give you different abilities as well. The concept is simple, but Nintendo's maps and unique take on a third-person shooter with ink-splitting make Splatoon 3 stand out. The co-op-focused Salmon Run is engrossing as well. "You jump into a match, ink some turf, kill some enemies, see who wins in dramatic fashion (sigh or cheer), and repeat," said Chris Carter in his Destructoid review. "It’s a loop that works even better than before because of all the aforementioned wrinkles in the formula, with some gameplay smoothing as well."

Jackbox Party Pack 5 Best Switch Multiplayer games

6. Jackbox Party Packs

The Jackbox Party Packs are perfect for friends and family. The games are relatively easy to understand, and the only controller you need is your phone (or another device that has internet and browser access). You'll be surviving in Trivia Murder Party by answering out-of-the-box questions, trying to come up with the funniest one-liners in Quiplash, and even trying to get the most dates amongst yourselves in Monster Seeking Monster.

Jackbox Games has so much creativity within its game design, and its Party Packs will help create memorable experiences for everyone in your immediate vicinity.

5. Mario Party Superstars

While the Jackbox Party Packs can create memorable experiences, Mario Party Superstars might be infamous for your friendships. The board game-like title has you competing to get the most stars. You're exploring the board, finishing entertaining mini-games for coins, and then, by the end of the game, you'll be ranked by the number of stars and coins you own.

It gets really competitive, too, as you can steal coins and stars from other players. If you've played a Mario Party game before, you may recognize some of the boards Mario, Luigi, and the like play on. Memorable mini-games also return to the classic series like Mushroom Mix-Up and Bumper Balls.

4. Fortnite

This may get a lot of flak, but Fortnite is an absolute blast. This battle royale has impeccable controls, a stunning Unreal Engine 5-powered world, and extremely cool weapons that are added each season. It's constantly being updated, adding new, surprising gameplay elements. Teaming up with friends, completing missions, and then winning the match is so much fun within Fortnite. The game is far more accessible now for those who don't want to build; there's a zero-build option that is solely focused on shooting and world exploration.

It's also wild to see Kratos, Master Chief, Goku, and Spider-Man all at the same party. With Fortnite, anything can happen. You don't want to miss out.

3. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury

Excellent game design? Check. Fun four-player multiplayer? Check. Gorgeous visuals? Check. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is the full package. This previous Wii U exclusive excels on Switch with the addition of faster movement speed and the addition of online play. The music is also stellar from the start, especially for the introductory world of Super Bell Hill. I still listen to the covers of that track regularly!

The cat forms in 3D World also let you crawl up walls, adding momentum to the already stellar Mario platforming format. It's one of the best multiplayer Switch games you can play on the hybrid system.

2. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is an incredible achievement. The character list is huge with heroes and villains from all over gaming history. Third-party characters like Final Fantasy's Cloud, Metal Gear Solid's Snake, and Castlevania's Simon Belmont fight against the likes of Mario, Link, and Fox in epic battles.

Tallying up your opponent's health meter to high percentages with your arsenal of attacks and then launching them into the stratosphere is super fulfilling. There's a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate competitive scene for a reason, as many love the simple but deep combat of the game.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Best Switch multiplayer

1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

The best Switch multiplayer game is undoubtedly Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The tracks are absolutely stunning with plenty of detail and gorgeous artistic visuals. Driving in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe feels perfect as you drift around corners and get a successful boost.

Additionally, the music keeps up the exciting tone, and a big orchestra performs the score. This is a game you can set up in a living room, and four people will quickly grab a controller and play. It's simplicity at its best. Hopefully, you can avoid that annoying blue shell!
